After playing through a good bit I must say I really like the game. But...It just doesn't have the feel of the old SSX. It shows a glimmer of it but just falls a little short in my eyes. Too much focus on the new stuff and not paying too much respect to the stuff that made the franchise great. Still a great game though. Just doesn't quite give me the feeling of the old SSX. I really hated the soundtrack too which made the older games great. Way too mellow. There were only a couple of songs that I liked.

Im only going by the demo, buy would I be right in saying it doesn't have the flare and over the topness of the original?

In looking outside itself for inspiration, SSX has found a worthy infrastructure to establish an online community and culture. But this same approach has found the brand veering away from some of the fun and fireworks of yesteryear, leaving its more seductive silly side out in the cold

While I definitely agree with this, I don't see it deserving a 5/10 by any means.

Man, it was reported (mistakingly it would seem) that this game would support 3D. I saw no mention of it in reviews and when I went to the game store, I saw it didn't. It kinda fell off my want list. I played the demo and it was fun but still I think I will either pass or get it from the Ultimate Depths of The Bargain Bin!

I'm really enjoying ssx. the online live events system is great imo, i really makes you try hard to earn the prize money before the event runs out. and custom soundtrack option is a welcome additional feature to escape the game music if you don't like it

What exactly does it do? I haven't tried it. Does it remix songs that you have on your hard drive?
