Guys, I'm a hardcore Iron Man fanboy so does he get the most screen time?
Also, should I go with this at the premiere?

or will I get my ass kicked?

Umm... batman fans will actually do something. They aren't the wimpy kids. No offense to Marvel, Avenger lovers.... but when you go to Nolan-batman films there's actual men.

I actually wasn't being very serious. Mostly I'm just a bigger fan of the Nolan films. Avengers is fun stuff, but that's it when it comes out down to it IMO. Even the reviews are saying it's humor and big action. I'm not trying to put down Whedon but Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, Capt America aren't serious characters nor did they ever have serious movies. (I know you don't agree Dre, tune me out)
With Nolan films it's serious stuff, literally and figuratively.

And I never said or implied that they were serious. I agree, they're "fun" characters and DC usually has the more gritty-esque story lines, however they lack a lot in live action movies. Nolan's Batman and whatever Superman movies we get in the future are the only thing DC has. However, where they lack in live action, they make up in animation, which Marvel seriously needs to step up in. And it's not to say that Marvel doesn't have shitty movies, they do, but they're still consistent and generally people go out to see them, despite how over-saturated the comic book genre is becoming in live action.
I just don't agree with Nolan being put that high on the pedestal because of the batman trilogy, why can't Batman fans recall him for Memento or The Prestige, both very excellent films where you have to see more than once.

Raimi kick-started the trend with Spider-Man, good movies and good action. Nolan took that and transcended it with the Batman films. It's become an industry standard now that even Marvel is trying to duplicate. It's more than just the story lines but the themes he was able to interweave. They aren't just cool stories and action anymore.
Of course Nolan's other movies are great, but when it comes to the comic book genre he takes it to new and powerful heights. Marvel can come out with 8 or 10 movies if it wants, but it takes that many to hit the mark the batman films have with two. Whether revenue or acclaim.

Well Marvel needs to sell their comics, what better way than making dozens of movies to maybe get an audience into a character or into comics. And technically, I'd say Tim Burton started the genre first with Batman and the two horrible Schumacher movies to follow
Then Nolan gave Batman the justice he deserved. I just don't like this superiority complex people think they have if they've seen every Nolan movie. (Not implying you Red, but my friend is like that)
What I would really love to see is David Fincher direct a comic book movie. With his style.Last edited by DreDayDetox; 04-16-2012 at 18:59.
