This looks like Transformers 3 in scale, this is how Transformers should've been.
Alien invasion of a major US metropolitan area, giant ships in the sky, destruction everywhere. And a team of unique warriors has to save the humans.Last edited by RedDragon7; 03-01-2012 at 02:34.

Bay does explosions well. That's what he does, action. He's also not the only person who can photograph explosions... hence this movie.
Like I said in my post, this is how transformers should've been. This will actually have an interesting plot and good characters, unlike anything bay attempts.
This was a comment on IGN's page of the new trailer:
"Great trailer, really great... though i think they forgot the part where Batman shows up, Bitchslaps The Capt, Iron man, Hulk, and Thor, Stares at black widow for 10 seconds causing her to Black out from climax.
Then Batman and Hawkeye proceed to unleesh mass amounts of manly awesomeness on the invading hordes, the end......
Or this alternate ending.
Spiderman shows up for 5 mins and then just spontaneously combusts and dies, that would work too."

LMAO, of course a DC fanboy troll would comment. But I laughed nonetheless

Anyway, I saw the trailer and I def see the Transformers influence, especially in that last cut after it fades out with the robotic snake that apparently could be Fin Fang Foom. That had me jump for joy...and in one cut, it looks like a bunch of people are bowing down..I'm assuming to Loki? Can't wait to see it at midnight!!!! I just hope they have a 2D version of it and not force-feeding you the 3D only.

Come on Dre, of course there's a 2D version of it. Just a matter of which theater.
I will say it does look out of place, Black Widow armed with a pistol, while standing next to Hulk, Thor and the others. At least an arrow can wield different heads: explosive, incendiary, etc. and works well with long range.Last edited by RedDragon7; 03-01-2012 at 04:37.

Speaking of 2D i found only one theater within 20 miles that had Thor in 2D.
Thankfully its nearby me and i will be looking there first to see if they have The Avengers in 2D.

It's not rare at all. It's just that some theaters only play it in 3D, they don't have enough screens for both.
I don't understand the complaints over Cap's suit. I particularly like it, but I've also never preferred his suits. Too old school for me. Anyway, I think they captured the style he carried in the comics but a touch of modernization.Last edited by RedDragon7; 03-01-2012 at 05:28.

For the lulz they should recast Bruce Banner for Avengers 2 and recast him again for Avengers 3 and again if there is another Hulk movie.

It looks alright. Nice shot of The Hulk catching Iron Man. As far as superhero movies are concerned, I'm more interested in seeing The Amazing Spider-Man.

The first time I've disagreed with you in a while.
Far more invested in The Avengers than spider-man. I like the characters better, and written and directed by none other than Whedon.
The dark atmosphere thing spider-man has going for it is nice, but the story origin story is all too familiar.

Why are you more interested in Spiderman?
Its not even in my top 5 for the summer.
1 - The Avengers
2 - Prometheus
3 - The Dark Knight Rises
4 - The Expendables 2
5 - Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (for the lulz)

The movie is just an excuse for a string of action scenes. The characters are all action movie pop-stars. Even Bay films aren't injected with as much testosterone.
Oh I realize that comic fans are happy about those things. I've just never been a huge spider-man fan. My biggest beef I guess is that Raimi did a great job, he was never the issue... the studio whose still the movies are the issue. We'll see how Marc Webb does. The trailer has some cool moments...
The other big issue again, is the origin story is all too familiar. The Avengers has been building up for a while now and we finally get the big team we'll been waiting for. Especially after The Justice League never made it this far.

lots of B rated superheroes!

Let's be honest: You sleep with anything that walks on two legs. Sometimes, you're not even that discriminating
-

B rated? Ok, I'll give you Black Widow whose glorified special ops, Captain America with his self-righteousness and that suit, Hulk being it's Mark Ruffalo, and even Thor with his barbaric viking habits at times. Although Mjolnir is would make you think twice about saying that to his face.
The one that is NOT B-rated... is Stark. Rich, smart, charismatic, gets women, and has some of the coolest toys including a high-tech suit of armor that can fly and take-out tanks with ease. Oh and he drives an Audi R8 to breakfast.
Batman is cool and all, but he isn't the only rich guy with cool toys.
