You'd think eventually the Vita will sell like the PSP. It's crazy tbh, as far as I'm aware the PSP costs more than a 3DS in Japan and it's still shifting units and selling a ton of software

I think its got more to do with the games than price.

3DS has enough games for Japanese gamers for them to buy the console, the same with the psp.

The vita has probably like 1 title that Japanese gamers actually would enjoy AND its nothing compared to the likes of monster hunter or mario.
So SONY need to get FF on the vita!

( a price cut will still probably make the difference)

Sony would probably want to do a price cut along side a popular release...else it wouldn't really have much effect imo. So possibly when Japan gets a good release they probably will do it to coincide so that they get the most bang for the buck or no one would really care anyways.

to be fair the PSP did do a turnaround in Japan, DS was the mega seller & then PSP took over until the DSlite came out which levelled the plain a bit
