There's a rumor going around based on some info in the product listing on Xbox.com apparantly that says there might be co-op. I don't know if that would be specific to the 360 version but I bet if it's included at all it will also be included in the PS3 version. Anyway, here's a write up on it:

One concern I have is about aiming. I didn't like how there was really no aiming in previous AC games. When using a gun, you pressed a button and it automatically locked on. For stuff like hunting, I really hope we get to aim manually. Or else it's way too easy.

Went to Gamestop today to pick up my copy of Mass Effect 3 for the PC. Then they asked if I wanted to pre-order AC3. Of course I said yes, then they gave me this very nice collectors tin case!

Not gonna happen. I've played like two games since, I don't know... September, maybe.
I'll read up on it a little, the first one didn't have much story to worry about. If the other installments are good as people say then I'll check out some summaries. Mostly though, the gameplay looks interesting enough.
Kinda surprised people are so disappointed with this teaser, I though the deaths were fairly cool actually. Then again I haven't been up on AC all that much.

This games looks like its going to focus on the environment, which is a bit disappointing. AC games are all about the city dont see why they should change it. Not that american cities will be worth visting anyway.

Cool, thanks for adding it
I for one would love it if we got co-op. I've had many friends through the years that love to play co-op games together. Online or side by side on the couch, I actually like co-op better than other multiplayer modes. Probably the only mode I like more is single player campaigns.

The only one I could feel good about suggesting you miss would be Revelations. I liked it, thought it was great, but it was a step back from the rest of the series in my opinion. Are you playing them in order? In other words, are the 2 you played AC 1 and 2? If so, Brotherhood is outstanding, that would be a good one to play if you think you've got one more in ya before 3 is out.

PCs are very much like Air Conditioners.
They both become utterly useless once you start to open up Windows....

Seasons, ageing confirmed
http://www.computerandvideogames.com...ing-confirmed/
If like us you're a little starved for details on Ubisoft's newly revealed Assassin's Creed 3 you'll be glad to hear a bunch of new gameplay details and some concept artwork have shown up online. Prepare to feast.
The deets come courtesy of Game Informer, which also managed to get its hands on some of the concept art guides that inform the aesthetic, setting, characters, and tone of the game.
According to the mag, Boston, the setting of historical events such as the Boston Tea Party, the Boston Massacre and various sieges with the word 'Boston' in them, will be one of two major cities that players will be able to skulk their way around in AC3.
Since the city has a plentiful amount of tall buildings, churches and docks, this is where the traditional building-scaling acrobatics and leaps of faith will take place.
New York, presumably the other big explorable city in AC3, can be seen in the images below following the Great Fire of New York. The circumstances of this devastating incident still remain a mystery, could the Assassin's have been involved somehow? Probably.
Ubisoft Montreal is keen on exploring the battles of the American Revolution - as indicated by details on its new AnvilNext engine - but will task Connor, the main character of AC3, with ancillary goals.
As shown in the first trailer, and pointed out in our Assassin's Creed 3 dissected, 'tree-running' (see what we did there?) will be a big part of the game since players will be able to explore America's 'vast wilderness'.
AC3 will have a seasonal cycle which - along with the obvious visual changes - will impact gameplay too. Enemies and NPCs will behave differently in winter and frozen pools of water will offer Connor new ways to get around and hunt down his prey.
Much like the Ezio's transition from young Italian whippersnapper to passionately driven assassin in AC2, players will take control of Connor in various stages of his life. Ubisoft's concept image shows the half-English, half-Native American before he joins the Assassin order.
As you've probably guessed by now, important historical figures like Ben Franklin, George Washington and Charles Lee will also make an appearances and it seems like Connor will be interacting with them regularly.

You and me both, I cant seem to resist metal cases when there preorder bonuses (I can resist em when its $20 for the "collectors" and you get a bunch of shit you dont want lol)
Damn this game is sounding better and better every time I read something, I cant wait till October. Though I think im more excited about the new protagonist then anything
I'm excited to know we see him in different stages of his life, I really thought that was awesome in AC2.

I'm hardpressed to pick between the art on the Steel Book and the revealed cover art.
The revealed Cover Art looks pretty B.A. itself.PCs are very much like Air Conditioners.
