This game is looking good. It does make your wonder if there's potential still left on current gen consoles, with graphics like that.

Any way, I got Revelations. I should be ready for this by the time it releases in November.

Yeah and keep in mind a game in motion looks 10x better than still screens

Idk why but I do not want to read about all this $#@!. I'd rather see it in motion and e3 is seeming so far away though it's getting closer.

    Some new info from Joystiq:

Ubisoft Montreal is kind of a big deal. Since being established in 1997, the company's first North American studio has been home to some of the biggest franchises in Ubisoft's entire portfolio: Splinter Cell, multiple Prince of Persia reboots, and Assassin's Creed.

Ever since Ubisoft Montreal's Assassin's Creed 2 introduced Ezio Auditore in 2009, the number of studios working on the franchise alone has increased dramatically. For 2010's Brotherhood, four additional studios signed on for support: Singapore, Bucharest, Québec City, and Annecy. For 2011's Revelations, yet another was added (Ubisoft Massive), putting the total at six.

For this year's Assassin's Creed 3, the army of studios has been restructured to four: Montreal, Annecy, Quebéc City, and Singapore.

"Annecy is still doing an evolution of the multiplayer," Creative director Alex Hutchinson explained to Joystiq. As we already know, Ubisoft Annecy is working on some form of --potentially co-op -- multiplayer."There're a few things that are being done in the Québec studio. So there's an evolution there," he said. Despite prodding, he wouldn't reveal what specifically that tease meant. "We cannot talk about specifically what they are working on." The Québec studio assisted with level design (among other things) in the past twoAssassin's Creed titles.

Even though an army is attached to Assassin's Creed 3, it's Montreal that has been focused on the project for the past two and a half years. "80 percent of our team have come through from AC1, AC2. A lot of them didn't do ACB or ACR 'cause they were working onAC3," Hutchinson said. "The turnover has actually been scarily low for a franchise that's been going for seven years. You still have the same lead writer who wrote the first words on AC1, you have the same guy doing the navigation that did AC1."

"At its core," Hutchinson said, "it is a Ubisoft Montreal game." He told us, "The thing with other studios is that they have different skill sets. At the end of the day, it's what makes it sometimes harder to manage the game, but it also makes the game richer." It's a formula that, thus far, has worked astonishingly well for Ubisoft. We'll find out if the company strikes gold once more this October when Assassin's Creed 3 launches.

Great coverage! I especially like the catch you guys made in Ubisoft's presentation that there are likely some potential extra benefits of hunting, such as extra animal body parts. One thing I was wondering...when fighting the bear, how easy did it look? I'm hoping there's some difficulty there. Another site's coverage mentions that a prompt appears on screen to warn about a bear approaching from behind; that's too bad because it makes it easier. And another site mentions that you can counter bear attacks just like a human's. I kind of wish it would be more challenging/deadly when encountering a bear in order to add a real element of danger to the forest (not to mention realism).

More info on the two different deluxe editions:

Ubisoft has unveiled two deluxe editions of the upcoming Assassin's Creed III, offering fans two beautifully packaged ways to show their adoration for the franchise (and make the publisher a couple extra bucks in the process, naturally).

If the American Revolution setting of Assassin's Creed III and its new hero Connor are interesting enough to you to drop more than the standard fifty to sixty bucks on the game, here are a few more options, the "Freedom" and "Join or Die" editions of the game.

(Keep in mind that these editions are only officially announced for Europe at this point. Ubisoft says North American fans should hold tight for an announcement on this side of the Atlantic.)

The Assassin's Creed III "Freedom" Edition

    Assassin's Creed III retail game.

    A 9.5" high-quality figurine of Connor.

A steelbook case art by Alex Ross.

George Washington's notebook revealing all the truth & secrets about the Assassins and the Templars during the American Revolution.

    One exclusive Lithograph.

    2 in-game Single Player Missions:

Lost Mayan Ruins: Connor's mission leads him in an old Mayan pyramid, full of mysteries and revelations. Players will be able to unlock Captain Kidd's fabled cutlass, a deadly, brutal and beautiful piece of steel.

Ghost of War: The tide of the Revolution turns into the Templars favor. Defeat your enemies and unlock The Pontiac's War Club, a powerful Native American weapon.

    1 in-game Multiplayer Package:

The Sharpshooter package: Unleash the Sharpshooter fury in multiplayer with 1 new character, the Sharpshooter, 1 Relic, 1 Emblem, 1 special Picture and the Title of "The Jester".

The Assassin's Creed III "Join or Die" Edition

    Assassin’s Creed III retail game.

The medallion of the Assassins with its high-quality curd ladle.

George Washington's notebook revealing all the truth & secrets about the Assassins and the Templars during the American Revolution.

    1 in-game Single Player Mission:

Ghost of War: The tide of the Revolution turns into the Templars favor. Defeat your enemies and unlock The Pontiac’s War Club, a powerful Native American weapon.

    1 in-game Multiplayer Package:

The Sharpshooter package: Unleash the Sharpshooter fury in multiplayer with 1 new character, the Sharpshooter, 1 Relic, 1 Emblem, 1 special Picture and the Title of "The Jester".

Not really big on special editions myself but it might be cool for others.
