SourceAs the anticipation builds for Borderlands 2, sequel to 2009’s critically acclaimed original, 2K Games and Gearbox Software have revealed the official box art design for the videogame. Set for release on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC this autumn, Borderlands 2 promises to further develop the distinct blending of first-person shooter (FPS) and role-playing game (RPG) genres.
In Borderlands 2, players can team-up with up to three other players for four-player online goodness or go old-school with two-player split-screen couch sharing mayhem as you spend hours levelling-up your character and equipping them with one of the millions of badass weapons. Borderlands 2 features a new visually stunning array of procedurally generated guns, shields, grenades, artefacts, enemies and more. Players can choose from one of the four new character classes as they make new friends, arm them to the teeth and fight alongside them on their relentless quest for revenge and redemption.
Borderlands 2 is currently scheduled for release this September on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
Nice and simple.

That boxart has been on Amazon for at least a week now so whoever wrote that article is late to the party.

The boxart for the first game looked better, in my opinion.
I just think it looks too simple. I'm sure the actual game will be great though.Steam & PlayStation Network: BlacksitePSU | 3DS Friend Code: 1349-4916-2054

It's yellowish. Okay.
I too think that the BL1 box was way better looking. But i like the yellow. It makes it stick out.

First was cooler. Looking forward to this game, though.

Much better than the Borderlands 1 box-art, in my opinion.
