Should be a pretty good mid range card with good power consumption figures, the 7870 is often on par with the 7950 in alot of games.
But AMD suck with driver support mostly for OpenGL every idtech engine game released last year barely worked for a lot of people me included.

Heeeelooooooooooo 7850 That'll do me hopefully Uk pricing will be good I was just about to sell my HD5770 and buy a 6850 too but I'll wait it will be a decent upgrade I think plus it should do what i need on top of that the power requirements are another reason too not much less off the 7870 slightly 140mhz less GPU speed and 16 textures units off
