why? one of my fav games on the consoles was one that got very low critical scores.

It doesn't matter what critics think.. what matters is "does it look fun to you"... not how it looked to others.

People who were looking forward to it, will likely still buy it or, thanks to the arcade, try it.

Oh right, seems that got decent enough metacritic score. I agree with what you said though, if a game interests someone they should give it a go and not be too disheartened by critic scores. But in the case of bloodforge it seems more of a bad game issue, than a marmite issue

Yeah, it might just be a bad game, my point is, take what reviewers say with a shot of salt. You just might like the game. MGS4, a widely heralded game, I hated. So it just goes to show that a review score is not always indicative of what is or isn't fun to me.

One review means nothing in isolation. Reviews only carry any weight within the context of many other reviews. I saw the review, it made some fair remarks about glitches etc, but for a downloadable game I think it looks cool.

Yeah thats another thing I like about Live. Every XBLA game has a demo for it so you can try it out first.

Same here. I really don't expect too much from most arcade titles. Walking Dead is actually pretty good though.

same here. I liked the visceral and bloody combat. Reminds me of that movie 300.

Cool but I need to see more before getting hyped calling it great. Does remind me of god of war. Definitely isn't the looker like GOW3(which is a shame) but it looks good enough. Edit:Oh, live arcade is why.

We already know you won't get hyped because you have yet to buy a 360 for the last 3 years. The game looks awesome but you are wanting to compare it to GOD 3 just to degrade it.

Who gives a fuck? There's nothing I want to play on the 360 that would justify a purchase. That's besides the point...And if they didn't want it to be compared to god of war 3 then they shouldn't have fucking stole the story when you get to the main plot. Wife killed, seeking revenge, yada yada yada. And I don't have to degrade shit. They did that themselves with the crap gameplay and the glitches. There's more than one bad review. Sure some people will like it still. I wouldn't be wasting my money on it IF I did own an xbox(which is not a reason I would be hyping a game; get real, sith).

Blood Forge had the concept down. They just failed to execute it properly. It makes me wonder if it was rushed.
