Version tested: Xbox 360
Conclusion:
8/10Perhaps I sound a bit detached about I Am Alive. I think that's probably because it can be very bleak, and like the best survival fiction, that's also why you really should experience it. Everything isn't going to be OK. The last bits of humanity are pretty much going to hell all around you and you're just a guy with a couple of bottles of water and an empty gun. Maybe you will escape with your dignity and integrity, but you probably won't. You and the game know it.
It's not a new message, but I Am Alive delivers it as well as anyone ever has in a game.

Gives me the shivers!! Picking this up tomorrow on Xbox. No release date set for PSN, as this is part of an XBLA promotion, but PSN should be released around the corner since it says 1st Quarter 2012.

This is surprising. I was waiting for this game for a while then heard about all the changes and figured it for a loss. Hope this comes out soon on the PSN

I'm still on the fence about this title. I'm reading reviews for it and watching gameplay and I'm not sure I can deal with it at the moment. I can see myself being frustrated in certain areas of the game.
Prepare for meltdowns if these next gen console rumors are true. Phase 1: Denial. Phase 2: Mask a lie under "opinion" vs a fact. Phase 3: Bring up the PS3/360 era when it has nothing to do with the subject. Phase 4: Say that the power gap doesn't matter but constantly defend the weaker specs.

IGN gave this a 4.5/10 so if you're on the fence about watch some gameplay footage first before buyingIt's funny that in this day in age people can steal as long as they have a reason too. Even if that reason is created by the thieves themselves.

Hey Two4, I haven't had a chance to download the demo. I still will, but I keep reading REALLY bad reviews for it outside of the Eurogamer one. So the priority has been shifted a little. I will try to download it tonight.

Now that a week has gone by for the 360 version there are more reviews in, many of them very good ones. Check it:
http://www.metacritic.com/game/xbox-...critic-reviews
I'll be getting the PS3 version, but I'm glad to see that at least half the reviewers are liking the 360 version. Gives me hope.

The Game Informer write was really good on this game. I still have yet to try the demo. Too many games, not enough days.

Busy busy weekend again, so I did not get to this demo yet. I will try tonight, if I remember.

I Am Alive sees impressive weekly sales on Xbox:
http://www.msxbox-world.com/news/art...s-on-xbox.html
That is great news.We reported last week that Ubisoft's survival adventure game I Am Alive saw some impressive sales in its opening weeks since launching on the 7th of March, but have today learnt that sales of the downloadable only game are holding up well. Since reporting sales of around 104,000 units last week, one week later and there have been around 26,000 additional sales on the Xbox 360 platform. With the game releasing on the PS3 as well, then the numbers are increasingly looking pretty good. As of Friday 23rd there are now a minimum of 128,182 downloads for the game.

A lot of mixed opinions about this, watched an IGN comment comeback video and wasn't very convinced with the reasons he gave, this guy Greg Miller seems to make most of IGN reviews.Anyway i decided to skip trying the demo and went purchasing it as i had 4000 points just sitting there and no ability to buy 90% of games on demand, after all it's only like 6 hours and how frustrated can you get in so little time,if any.
