My thoughts before reading Blacksite's post about Cloverfield: Awesome movie, I really liked it and I would love to add it to my blu-ray collection.
After reading his posts about the monster in the movie: HOLY FUCKING SHIT, MIND = BLOWN!!!!

I was at the Comic-con event where they discussed it. Could be cool, especially with Toro's creative monster designs. I look forward to seeing the first look.
However, I'm not sure if the story will be taken seriously or just aim at being a fun, crazy robot/monster clash. i.e. Godzilla
Don't get me wrong, not trying to demean it.

I always thought that movie was the adaptation of Battlestar Robotica, based on a videogame that came out for the ps2 about mechs in space.

Cloverfield was great because, coming into the movie, I already knew the monster originated from deep within the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. I knew a lot of the backstory. Fans of Godzilla know that their monster was the product of an atomic bomb test. As for Pacific Rim, an alien invasion is a seriously overused plot element. So the monster, mechs, and everything else really need to stand out, in my opinion.

The concept behind this movie is so stupid..why the hell would there be a big science laboratory with sophisticated technology and tons of money just to randomly kill some teenagers?

Do writers even think before they type anymore?Trophy-licious!

Tomorrow baby! 94% on RT.
I've always wondered how people in horror flicks make such terminally stupid decisions... and where the old coot predicting doom gets his information. This movie answers, in a freaky-gory manner so far off-the-wall that it could be a coffee table.Close to geek paradise ... the movie may be funnier than it is scary, but for the right crowd, this collection of nightmares will feel like the best dream ever. One of those rare films that's just pulsing with energy on so many levels - as genre-loving comedy, as straight-up horror, and as something you've simply never seen before. The Cabin in the Woods is a great film.
We’re having an, *ahem*, offsite meeting tomorrow..."Remember, you're young only once but you can be immature forever."

Can't wait to see this! I heard audience reports where they applauded immensely to a cameo in the film..My best guess is Bruce Campbell as his Evil Dead character.

It was such a good movie. I mean just the way everything was put. Nothing was to over the top. I can't wait for dvd release and hope to get deleted scenes and alternate endings.

I went to watch this the day it came out and it was alright but nothing special.
The movies kind of 'predictable' that's all i'm going to say since i don't want to ruin it for you guys.
Oh and i didn't know they were aloud to show nudity scene in a PG15 movie.
