I do prefer games like LBP, Lara Croft, hack n slash, where players share the same screen. But it would be a big lie if I said there is no fun in it.
I definitely enjoy COD games in split-screen. There is no other way to go about it. You need a big TV though.
I got a 50" and we got to sit closer to enjoy a game in split-screen. I can't wait to upgrade to 65"+.

I wouldn't say I love it but it's def fun. Of course the smaller the TV the less fun it becomes. And it will never be as comfortable as having the whole TV for yourself.

for me, it's a hate it or love it kinda. I loved it in Warhawk and also in Resistance: fall of man. Other than those 2 games all Split-screen games suck.

I've played A LOT of games in split-screen. Growing up, I had siblings and friends where I would play many games in co-op. Even to this day I still enjoy some halo or gears on split-screen online. Also how I beat KZ3 the first time. I enjoy my games a lot more with someone else.

I grew up with N64. So games like Goldeneye & Gauntlet Legends shaped my childhood. Split-screen all the way. Unfortunately multiplayer online kinda killed it or severely made it rare. No one gos over to anyone's house anymore. It's all on mics and party chats. Fuck that.

I like it when it's well implemented. I hate the way Uncharted 3, Killzone 3 and RE 5 does it, I don't care if the image doesn't show perfect resolution, I just don't want to see half screen in black.

I prefer coop games where your all on the same screen ala gauntlet, champions of norrath, hunter: the reconing etc..
But I do enjoy my split screen coop aswell. Phantasy Star Online being one of my all time favorites to date.

We need more offline/online 4player coop games that are NOT shooters. I enjoy playing online, but nothing beats a great night of coop with some friends some beers (root beers for you little ones), munchies and alot of shoving for whose getting to the drops first.

PCs are very much like Air Conditioners.
They both become utterly useless once you start to open up Windows....

Back in the PS2 days it was good. But now they don't even fill the screen with the split screen play. For example, RE5 and MW3. I can't stand how the co-op screens are this generation.
