The game will look good but if anyone thinks that it will look like that trailer will be disappointed. Maybe the cut scenes will but not the actual gameplay. The consoles we have now just aren't capable of it.

I was basically telling people not to get their hopes up with these tech demos because they're not representative of the final product and that the actual video games do a better job of showcasing the capabilities of the engine. I'm not assuming the absolute worst though. I'm not being pessimistic. I'm still looking forward to The Last of Us and whatever video game Quantic Dream ends up developing.

I will say, I think the lighting looks more advanced than what will be in gameplay. Similar to GT5. Effects pushed during replays with slower framerate.

Similar notion here. I'm not impressed with the tech demo, but QD is still a good dev team. I am interested in a sic-fi setting from QD, but we'll see if that ever turns up.

I would surprised if someone was offended. Sometimes we all just gotta agree to disagree.

I'm unsure what we are realy seeing in the demo, the sort of modeling has been done for years...

As a mocap engine, its clearly a very good one. And I think the story etc was top notch, but I cant see what we are suppoosed to be seeing in terms of engine tech.
    Its solid, yes.
    Mocap-top notch.
Engine specifc? Very light on anything.

It certainly would be interesting if they would talk about specifics.
The video is certainly not enough to give much information about technical side of things.

It's really similar to Bjork's "All Is Full of Love" (which actually looks a lot better and not cliche, being made on 2001). Anyways, I hope they improve on Heavy Rain and give us a great innovative experience.

Its probably the most advanced mocap to date. Have graphics been rendered like this before? Yes. With a setup that can record the voice, movement and facial expressions of multiple actors with such quality as seen in Kara on a console? Nope. This games gonna be the shit

Its great what they've been able to do with this new engine on the current hardware. But i think the main point is the story, i became completely engrossed in the piece and forgot it was a 'tech demo'.

I have confidence that whatever cage does make, it'll be great. Regardless of how pristine the engine cuts out to be or not.

Um, feel free to add me on your PSN, just let me know you're from here.

Doesn't Naughty Dog do that? Or do they add the facial expressions later?

I believe that everyone's focus on the graphics and the story are misplaced. I'd say this demo was made primarily to showcase the real-time emotional effects and responses, which is what Quantic Dream is known for and seems to be most interested in. If you felt compassion or sadness or something similar while watching, then I think the demo was a success.

If you felt nothing, you need to go watch "The Notebook".

That was amazing, I don't think I've ever been that emotionally attached to an animation nevermind something produced on a game engine.

The facial animations have improved leaps and bounds in the last couple of years and I feel this is more believable and realistic than LA Noire which characters that didn't feel alive.

I don't know if it was intentional or whether they had to cover her up for the demo but having her cover up her breasts gave the android the feeling of insecurity which was a brilliant touch, if that was the reason.

Also Sony has to fund this Demo and see it made into a game, a story revolving around the 'Ghost in the Shell' and the philosophical questions surrounding it made by QD would be amazing.
