Well. I have all the films on DVD, last 2 on blu ray. I highly recomend them. If you've read the books, I think you be disapointed in a couple of the films by comparison, but overall it is well worth it. They are a great story so your doing yourslf a disfavor by not watching them.

I've seen the Blu-Ray collection, it seems ok. I'd rather just 1 case with all the films in it tho. All the films are very enjoyable and worth purchasing and viewing in HD.

The 35 disc collection is overpriced by about $250.

Is the thread about the books?
Harry Potter: Complete 8-Film Collection (11 Discs) (Blu-ray)
Did he ask how good the movies were compard to the books?
Didn't think so, still don't get why you go into a random thread, ignore the topic and try to make an ass out of someone without even contributing to the actual topic.Never saw any Harry Potter movie before, thought of getting this, it has extra 3 disc i guess. Is it any good? does any one have it?Last edited by Nuvian; 03-16-2012 at 01:23.

A persons opinion of the movie will vary significantly if they have read the books before seeing the movie. The OP neglected to mention if he read the books or not.
If he was just looking for opinions purely based on how the movies stand by themselves there are plenty of review sites on the the web (Rottentomatoes, metacritic, imdb, ect.) to check for reviews/opinions/info on the movies.
I have nothing more to say.

That's a great price for all those films on Blu-ray, I'd say it's well worth getting! I would actually buy it myself but I've been buying all the films as they've come out over the years anyway so a collection would be a bit pointless for me haha.
Also I think the films can hold their own up to the books, obviously the only way to rival the detail in a novel is to show emotive shots to convey the characters feelings and I think they do that pretty well in the films. I know some people were disappointed with one or two of the films as they said the book was better (usually Prisoner of Azkaban) but I think that boils down to the fact that they had a specific image in their head and when they saw it brought to life on the screen it didn't match their own imaginings.
