Japan never got peace walker with the orginal ps3 and 360 version was sold separate then too

I really don't think this will include Peace Walker in the west either. First of all, there's the simple reason of Vita's game cards not having enough room for three big games (they aren't as big as dual layered DVDs, let alone blu-ray). Second, Peace Walker is already available for Vita. If people want it, they can just get it through PS Store.

Yes, of course I'm talking about the PSP version. And PSP games look great on Vita screen, so I don't really even think that a Peace Walker HD would be necessary.

Also, another reason why a Peace Walker HD won't be included anywhere on Vita is simply because... there IS NO Peace Walker HD, literally. With the home console versions, they announced a PW HD at the same time, but they haven't announced anything of the kind for Vita. The only way I could see Peace Walker included is to have a download code for the PSP version, but even that is doubtful.

IIRC they included a code for MGS1 with the Japanese PS3 Collection to make up for the lack of PW on their version (over here you had to buy the limited edition from Zavvi), so they might just include that for all versions for Vita (instead of a code for PW since it costs more).

I can't wait for this one to be released on the Vita. For a Metal Gear fan this is a MUST buy!

The Vita version of Metal Gear Solid HD Collection does not include Peace Walker, Konami has confirmed to Eurogamer.As was pointed out to us, the game was announced as such - Peace Walker was never intended to be included in the HD package.But that hasn't prevented some gamers from expressing their disappointment at the news. The home console version, already out, does include the up-rezzed port of the PlayStation Portable game. It may be the case that file size limits for Vita games, which, as dictated by Sony, must be available to download as well as buy in shops, prevented Peace Walker's inclusion.Konami did confirm, however, that the HD Collection includes Metal Gear 1 and Metal Gear 2, released on the Japan only MSX2 console in the early eighties and re-released as a component of the 2005 PlayStation 2 game Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence.That brings the collection to a total of four games: Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2, Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3. The HD Collection is out in Europe in the summer.

Shame but ill still pick it up as ive collected all the other formats of metal gear.

I think it would be easier to play on a console anyway, I tried snake eater on the 3ds and I much preferred playing it on a console.
