Quality over quantity..that's what makes UK shows so good. The writers have more time to write better scripts.

i think Daryl was in the military and they will show it some time bc a while ago this was on the int and i noticed on the side of his bike the same symbol also the way he acts too

First season was 6 eps because it was the first season and they were just testing the waters. 13 eps for season 2 is a pretty good increase. You won't find many scripted shows on cable with more than ~12 eps a season. And 13 seems to be the magic number on AMC (Mad Men, Breading Bad).
