I watched it again after I read this thread and before I posted, had it on the DVR from Sunday night.

It’s about 8-9, cutaway (again, the muzzle blast and audio FX don’t quite sync up, so more audible shots than visible shots...), I would assume an “off camera” reload, 5-6 shots, then an obvious stop and reload (the way he holds it and digs into his pockets). Didn’t rewatch past that as I think that was the last Herschel shotgun action. I didn’t spend a bunch of time, just FF’ed to the scene, watched it once.

Like I said, it wasn’t something that required much suspension of disbelieve, so it was maybe 3-4 shots more than he should probably have fired. It wasn't like he stood there for 10 minutes and squeezed off 50+ shots, he didn’t do a backflip off the roof, it was intense and horrific (the two family members that got wasted was pretty gruesome).

And, tbf the guy in the RV was an idiot. If people had to die, better the ones not central to the plot. Yet, T-Dog still lived. Perhaps he will die sometime next season since he won't be the only black person on the show in season 3.

Hershel had a magic shotgun and that's the end of that. i really didn't care about that. in all honestly i was smiling because i just knew all the internet babble about it lol. and with the bike tires, it would be not safe for the actor to ride around at night on mud with slick road tires. the "shitty mom" things with Laurie crack me up though. what a stupid bitch, and it's her fault shane is dead. or maybe it's shane's fault he tried to be a friend and barricaded rick in the hospital so he had a chance. goddamnit

The worst was her saying numerous times how people shouldnt leave the farm especially alone and what does she do? She leaves the farm by herself and doesnt tell anyone. I think the only smart thing she did was not take Carl with her. But then again i hate that little shit so maybe she should have taken him with her.

No one cared to discuss what i brought up about Carl last page so maybe if i mention it again people will discuss it.

Oh yeah i was looking at the show timeline (not the comic) on the wiki and apparently from Rick waking up to leaving the farm it has only been 22 days. Thinking about this its not good for Carls actor at all. Remember Lost when Walts actor got that growth spurt and was written out of the show? Same thing can happen here if over 2 years we only do 22 days of timeline. I think Carl will only last one more season.

Started reading the comic. Through 4 volumes (24 issues) already. Volumes 3 and 4 I assume will be the 3rd season. I don't expect it to be too similar though because some of the characters/relationships are so different.

The show will end long before it catches up to the comics most likely which is unfortunate , I think there is close to 100 issues of the comics atm and they move at a much faster pace than the TV Show.

TV Shows unfortunately have a shelf life and that will be either when the ratings drop or some of the key actors begin to leave the show because they want to do something new...which will also cause the ratings to drop. I think if Lincoln leaves the show it is probably screwed.

Buddy of mine said the 2 seasons are basically issues 1-12 and there are 19 episodes of the show so its less than that.

It's roughly correct. The only thing that set the length apart is that the farm saga was only like 2 issues long, but they decided to use it for a shitload of character development in the show. But you can't really compare the two side by side like that because the plot varies and the characters are pretty different, their relationships different. For example, the CDC story doesn't even exist in the comic.

The same place you get your free music haha. or you can download a digital comic book reader and buy the issues on there. Issues are about $2 each. You can buy an entire paperback volume (6 issues) for like $8-9. Guess which method I chose.
