Cool episode...
"When I was 12, I milked my eel into a pot of turtle stew. I flogged the one-eyed snake, I skinned my sausage. I made the bald man cry into the turtle stew, which I believe my sister ate. At least I hope she did."

One great part about the episode: they didn't give Carl many lines lol. Now they need to give Lori similar treatment haha.
That's right bitch. Nested spoiler tags lol. First one for those who haven't seen the episode yet. Second one for those that don't want to know the potential outcome based on the differences in the comic.
All in all, I thought it was a great episode, and should be a good season.Last edited by Shibby; 10-15-2012 at 20:18.

Having just finished Season 2 last night (only recently just started getting into the show - perfect timing it seems) I have to start Season 3.
Can't wait - this is a show that I really don't mind seeing the spoilers for.
Oh and lauri is the worst. Wouldn't be surprised to see a zombie love child pop out of that demon hole.Last edited by admartian; 10-15-2012 at 20:45.

The creators sure weren't lying about season 3 being darker and more bloody. That was one hell of an episode!

Okay i am a huge Walking Dead fan, and ill tell you why they skipped winter. Theyre going to throw you into season 3 real fast and get the momentum going and keep the pace from the last few episodes of season 2 like theyve been saying. What will probably happen, is over the next.... 10 or 12 episodes open up each show with a flashback of what they went through during the winter like they did in season 2 with shane helping lori and carl get to atlanta just to kind of show you how the group came to work so well together, and to show us how lori and rick drifted so far apart during that time.
The prisoner that said "holy Shit" if im not mistaken, should be Axel from the comics, personally my favorite of the inmates.
I really hope they introduce Tyreese at some point this season, as hes a huge part of the comics. If you sit the arcs of the comic and show next to each other however, tyreese and his people shouldve been with them when they found the prison, but oh well.
Something else i really hope happens, is them going back and finding Morgan and Duane, it happened in the comics, but not until well after they settled into the prison, so very possible this season but if im not mistaken they do spend a winter at the prison... its been a while since i read the comics, so im not 100% on that, plus from what ive measured, theyre only basing the show on the comic's locations really, and loosely tying in the people from the comics, which i think is just great.
The other thing that i really love what theyve done, is how theyve used household materials to make silencers for their guns using flashlights and other things (not quite sure what carl's surpressor was made from though.
This is a really clever show, for me its the first time ive seen zombies in riot gear and i never wouldve thought of that. I just wonder if they can actually see after having been dead so long. Do they see vague shadows and whatnot, or do they just go off of sound?

They were a much more efficient, well oiled zombie dispatching team in ep1. I think they did a great job of building up tension too. I can't wait for the retail release of the games.

I think the zombies mainly go off smell and sound. Though I still think the show makes them off a little smarter than a near brain-dead being, running only a primitive version of what's left of the human brain (basic motor functions) would suggest.

I'll tell you why they had a time skip...Carl.
They'll have to do it every so often as long as he s still alive..child actors always age faster than their character. Remember Walt in LOST?Trophy-licious!

Last season I'd have been all for killing off Carl, but S3E1 showed him to be less mouthy, whiny, and dumb, and more useful, which doesn't happen in the comics until much later.
Lori though, that cunt needs to die lol.

I love how everyone hates Lori, i do too but its still funny haha
Great opener for season 3, very action packed and a nice change of pace. I do hope we see more going to towns and getting supplies, as I found that entertaining.
Waiting a week for the UK to show it was killer, so many near spoiler moments, think ill stick to watching it online.
