Let's be honest: You sleep with anything that walks on two legs. Sometimes, you're not even that discriminating

Thought that kept inline with the comics? This season has really picked up since the barn break out.

Yeah the virus is airborne, no more bites needed..just death.
Also, Shane was your favorite character? He was pissing me off so much was hoping he would die. No more of that stupid love triangle drama. My favorite character is Daryl.Trophy-licious!

Just watched the episode. That was awesome. That's the Walking Dead I know and love, not this whole farm soap opera bullshit of the first half of season 2 and parts of the second half.
I never read the comics, so the airborne thing is new to me, but it does explain a lot. I was always wondering why when Rick was in the hospital, the army was going through the hospital and killing patients. Now it makes sense to me, originally I just thought it was an overreaction to what was happening. Also explains the guy that hung himself in the tree and the two cops.
Now I'm just wondering if that is what the guy at the CDC whispered into Rick's ear.

Can't agree with that. The first season was incredible, and at that point it was the best show on TV. But a good episode here and there doesn't make up for how bad the majority of season 2 has been. Breaking Bad is the best show on TV I think. Or Sherlock, although Sherlock can barely qualify for being "on TV" lol.

I haven't seen either of them.
It's slow at times I grant you but then it picks up and you have an action packed, dramatic episode with twists and turns.20...

Definitely check them out. They're awesome. Sherlock is just 2 seasons so far so not much to catch up on. Breaking Bad is 4, but the 5th season is supposed to be the last.
What you describe though is what I consider shock-value moments to make up for bad storytelling. I just feel like if Darabont was still running the show this season would have been much better. Check this out http://insidetv.ew.com/2012/01/09/fr...season-2-plan/

Yeah sounds like a good episode.
Season one started awesome with lots of action and trailed off at the beginning then picked up at the end.
Season 2 is telling more of a story focusing on moral issues at the moment.20...

I have to agree with manutdfan.
Season 1 had problems. The first episode was excellent and then it slowly trailed off to the ugly base explosion. Darabont and company re-evaluated their writer situation when the season ended.
Season 2 gets flack but you need the first half as a setup for this. Where all the tensions finally snap.
Shibby, you mentioned Breaking Bad. It does the same thing. I think you just prefer it more. It has "lesser" episodes earlier in the season so when the end comes, that tension just blows up.

Season 2 is definitely a character development season. Finale def looks like it'll be pretty intense.
Regarding Breaking Bad, I can see what you mean, but in my opinion it just gets stronger and stronger as it goes along. Instead of the earlier episodes being poor, I think the later episodes are just that good that they overshadow the early ones. (That random fly episode is excluded entirely, I don't know wtf it was lol).
Whereas in Walking Dead, I can't say I even enjoyed the first half of season 2. I wanted to re-watch season 1 just to remind myself why I'm even caring. The scale of it is the biggest factor though, the first season was 6 episodes of constantly changing scenario, so any "lesser" episode wasn't really an issue. But with 13 episodes all on a farm, it gets pretty annoying.

I loved season 2 a lot more, especially after the barn incident. Couping with everyday life and their interpersonal relationships makes it stand out. For me season 1 lacked that unique take, escaping the zombies was still their main goal.

I've enjoyed both seasons. Season 2 seems be be showing moral issues and showing how the characters have changed. The barn incident was really well done and intense. So was the incident with the shootings of the strangers in the bar.

The barn incident was well done, but I don't think it needed 7 full episodes to get there.

Yeah they did milk it a bit, was leading up to Sophia coming out at the end. Hershel knew all a long but never told them.
