what??? he is saying the feature is only wrong when misused, and given you are at, or close to the top of the dislike 'vendor' list (with, as far as i can tell from browsing recently, only one or two real targets), i'm fairly sure you weren't in agreement. stop pretending otherwise and address the response to your 'simple solution'.

The issue appears to me to be people making/taking the dislikes personally.

If there's evidence of abuse the mods should deal with it like they would any other issue.

If not, we need to be able to accept not everyone always likes our posts.

Don't see why a serial 'disliker' couldn't be reported. Though I'd ask, should a serial 'liker' suffer the same fate?

a negative and a positive have a very different impact. no one ever gets infracted for 'positive trolling', if such an idea exists, but that doesn't mean that trolling is ok. so no, imo i don't believe a serial liker is a useful equivalent.
