http://www.gamesradar.com/nintendo-d...-its-got-bank/Here's the exact quote taken from a feature in the latest issue of the UK's Nintendo Gamer magazine: "Buried in reams of financial data is the revelation that Nintendo have 812.8 billion Yen (£6.7/$10.5 billion) in the bank - enough for it to take a 20 billion Yen loss (£163/$257 million) every year until 2052. Then there's almost 469 billion Yen (£3.8/$6.0 billion) held in premises, equipment and investments. When that runs out - we're in the year 2075 by this point - they've got some of the most valuable intellectual property in gaming to sell off before the company goes out of business."
Brilliant news. Nintendo's biggest challenge will not be a financial one, it will be replacing creative genius's when they retire.

Nintendo isn't Panasonic, they are more conservative in their use of money plus they've almost never sold hardware at a loss. That and they've got plenty of automatic money makers (Marios have easily sold anywhere from 5 to 15 million even recently, Pokemons make money with minimal changes & effort put into them etc.).

Well if they ever feel the need to shed a few (millions of) pounds then I'm willing to be generous enough to accept the burden of teh monies.

I know that, I was referring to blind ignorance of the article saying they can afford to lose money, money can easily slip through fingers, but obviously not Nintendo thou, research and development is paid by whatever the board members have in their spare change at the time of the meeting, the meeting the Wii was conceived at thou was after staff lunch, Money goes in, never out

Yeah, Nintendo is set for now. They just need to make another breakthrough thing like the Wii, and they will last forever.
