http://www.computerandvideogames.com...t-show-anyone/Tetsuya Nomura, the guy who gives Final Fantasy characters absurd barnets and sticks lots of zips on everything they wear, has said he's almost prepared to share new information about Square Enix's elusive Final Fantasy Versus XIII.
Before you get all excited, Nomura also said "totally unrelated" circumstances are preventing him from sharing the information, but that he's in discussions to move plans forward. Unrelated to what? What plans? Discussions with who? He won't say.
We think these wise words from Mr. T accurately sum up our feelings on Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Square Enix's drip-feeding of information on it:
"I'M ON A REAL SHORT LEASH HERE, AND I'M TIRED OF YOUR CRAZY RAP!"
The last time Nomura actually said something about the game, he revealed its combat system is party based, giving the player a maximum of three characters to control. Members can be swapped in and out, with more freedom of choice given in later parts of the game.

Probably TGS at the latest though recalling previous E3s there were times when we were at least shown trailers from Final Fantasy XIII so one can always hold out hope.
Currently playing? Skyrim (360). White Knight Chronicles (PS3). Majoras Mask (Wii). Final Fanasy VII (PS2). Just completed? Final Fantasy VI.

haven't even thought about this game in like 4 months. kinda forgot all about it. well nice to know it's still alive. now if they release before the end of the next generation of consoles i'll be happy.

I have always found announcing that there will be an announcement about a game in the future so annoying. Hopefully this "unrelated circumstance" gets resolved and info can be released soon.

Well, I have faith in Nomura and the rest of the development team to create a quality title out of Final Fantasy Versus XIII. I'm expecting to see some new footage by the end of the year and hopefully the release of the game in 2013. Then we can get excited about Final Fantasy XV for the PlayStation 4.

No way. IX was weak! Something in between FF6 (MagiTech armor! Espers!) and FF7 (crazy Limit Breaks and Materia!) would be awesome.
