Having close to 10,000 guests online does that.

Yes i believe so... But its not like they go in and out all the time, just to increase the views... It just seems in one second you have no views and with in a single minute 2,000 or so views. Its abit crazy to be perfectly honest

Does it really matter? Guests always look at threads and sometimes they refresh the page. Not sure why you think this is a "big problem"?
Since the PS Vita released, the guest count has gone up. I am sure many could be bots, but there are over 9 billion people in the world. I am sure a measly 2,000 could have looked at your thread in 18mins.

I am not making a big issue out of this. But i am doing what all of us do on the site. Report problems and have them fixed.
Look sorry if you feel a big deal of this, when its not. Just doing as i said, we all report problems. It helps to keep the site working in good condition

They most certainly do!
Spikes are a completely awesome thing for PSU, and we do our best to help generate them. It can be random, it can be quick... it can be anything when they come in. The owners of the site too help cut content syndication deals that occasionally bring in big waves of visitors to check out the stuff we write about.
One thing I would absolutely love to point out in this moment though...
Are you all noticing that there isn't performance issues while this is happening?
I know there have been a blip or two, but we've chased 'em down and fixed them almost immediately. This is the first real proof of just how much we've finally managed to fix up the back end hosting of the site.

What is the problems you speak of? We're really working hard to address stuff now that we have the backend much more dialed.
Glad to hear that you haven't noticed any issues!
What don't you like about the Fifa ad? I'm really happy that you're looking at it though, we actually sold that one directly to them. They were extremely excited about PSU and how much everyone here loves the PlayStation. We can directly provide feedback, so that the next time around we can create something more compelling with them.

Plus the site will always have small problems and that is common on any forum site or website on the internet. The internet is not perfectLast edited by claud3; 03-14-2012 at 14:57.

It got a lot of views! No problems there, just lots of people visiting the site.
I totally know that there are always problems on the internet... but the job of a development team is to track 'em down and fix 'em! Thats why I asked. When you say there's problems, you see 'em, and we need you to report them!
Do you perchance use the 'feedback' tab when you see something?

I never always post a problem.. I only post problems that i see as important and will get a reaction and fixed that is all... I seek no attention on any or all problems the forum as...
You see a problem and if its worthy of important response, then you post it... You see a problem and feel it will be not worthy of posting it, then you do not post it and make a big problem out of it.
I posted a thread about my rep increasing and decreasing and that got post in it... But it dried up really quick and i just never posted in it again and others didn't... So this thread getting massive attention when it proves it does not need it, I just thought i would just bring it up and see the out come thats all.
If i am flawed in posting about a small issue then i am sorry and i am not getting defensive, just replying in my way

It's obtrusive mate.
I browse the site sometimes when im at work, without logging in, and damn that ad is annoying, the way it forces the page down. And if you scroll back up it forces the page down again. If i were a guest there would be no way i would join, or come back.
Im only looking through the eyes of a guest though, im not being dramatic

Well... no they shouldn't. Because with everyone blocking ads, you'll have a whole lot less internet sites to visit. If you subscribe it removes the ads, and helps fund the site.
I mean this isn't a charity event. Would I ask you to go to work every day for no pay because I didn't feel like being hassled by what your company does to stay in business?
no.
