Pokémon Black & White 2 Japanese Box Art

The official Pokemon Black 2and Pokemon White 2 box art has been officially revealed ... officially.

We'd seen some images of the game case art in the past, but those were all blurry and totally non-official. This is the legit stuff, people!The screens come courtesy of Official Nintendo Magazine, where it was also pointed out that the title logos for Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2sport some blue and red coloring, respectively. Could this be indicative of some sort of connection to Pokemon Sapphire and Pokemon Ruby?

We've been getting miniscule doses of info regarding Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2 for some time now. We got a super short teaser, and a new monster was even announced. Personally, I like it that way. There's something very suspenseful about getting small bits of info as opposed to major reveals.

Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2 will land in Japan in June. Still no word on an exact date for North America, but we do know that the games are coming sometime in the fall. Until we get more info, why not check out the games' official box art below?

Im not understanding this at all, surely they can't be adding another 150 Pokemon already? Also should this not be one game in the form of Pokemon Grey?

The boxart Pokemon seem to be the same as the last ones with some armour attached to them. I don't like this one bit, talk about milking. I'll be skipping this and waiting for the next REAL Pokemon game.

edit: Yeah, I'm hoping there is a significant reason to get these games. It's definitely breaking the tradition of a "third color game", but maybe it will turn out to be good? I don't think they are adding another 150 pokemon or whatever because its supposed to be the same generation.

Yeah who knows what they have planned, this IS the first time we have ever seen a sequel to a pokemon game so its pretty exciting stuff.

These box arts are great imo, much more action packed than previous games where its just a static pokemon on the box
