Shenmue HD is real, finished 'for well over a year'

An HD port of Shenmue is indeed heading toXboxLive Arcade andPlayStationNetwork, and development on the title has been “finished for well over a year”, according to an industry source speaking to GamerZines.
Our source, who wishes to remain anonymous but does have ties to SEGA, told us that “Shenmue HD is real [and has been] finished for well over a year.“As is Shenmue II HD”.So, if true, why has SEGA held off on releasing them?According to our insider, SEGA chose to sit on their release until it had a clearer picture of the future for the Shenmue franchise, namely, whether or not Shenmue III would ever see the light of day.SEGA teased earlier this week that it “may be working on” an HD port of Shenmue.
An XBLA release has been rumoured since April 2010 when the game allegedly turned up on a secret developer test network.

Never played this game before, but heard good stuff about.
But then again if it was that good i guess they wouldn't hesitate on making a third entry.

These games were great imo. We all know the dreamcast situation. They released shenmue worldwide and shenmue 2 only in japan on the dreamcast. Sega then went on to make a stupid move(further showing they are $#@! ups) and released shenmue 2 exclusively to the Xbox instead of the ps2. Yu Suzuki is also part of the blame for his outragious budgets for these games.

They should have learned a lot by now and should be able to manage their money better. But I doubt they'll make a shenmue 3 because they are Sega after all.
Destiny is going to be EVERYTHING that EA and MS hoped titanfall would be

I guess Sega were so pissed that Sony had kicked their asses so much the last two gens they decided to side with MS, though they made up for it with Yakuza being PS exclusive.
