iono guys, i still feel for these kinds of movies, VHS is the only way to go. I dont want some remastering or upscaling. I didnt slide in no DVD when i was 10. Also, the third movie is basically nonexistant (because of its worthlessness)

This sounds so stupid, but I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume he meant to say they seem like an alien race - not that they are.
I for one enjoyed the Transformers movies, though Beast Wars was always my favourite Lmfao
I'd take DVD over VHS, why? Cause I stopped using VHS long ago after my last one finally broke. Happy too cause it saved my shelf a shit loud of room. :P

I was pleasantly surprised with the first. The second sucked, which led me to not getting around to watching the third. And I loved Beast Wars as well! Although not as good as the originals lol
Got a link? That is horrible, and I'm with you on that!

Our team is working closely with one of the original creators of Ninja Turtles to help expand and give a more complex back story. Relax, we are including everything that made you become fans in the first place. We are just building a richer world.

Part of it, I don't want to give Bay any leniency. Frankly, even if the creators are involved it doesn't mean it'll be good. I still may disagree with them thinking this change is cool.
I just really don't want to see some asteroid approaching earth and then this little spaceship in the shape of a turtle shell is exposed after going through the atmosphere or whatever. Cliche on top of cheesiness... not cool.
Plus now they have to create some planet and race of humanoid turtles? and make-up some story of why they're coming to earth? If their planet exploded and they're the last surviving members... good job Bay on making a remake even more unoriginal.
One good thing could come of this, ONE.... "Hey man, we're like Mexican" *Cheech voice*

Red, i dont think you should even entertain the idea that much. It is simply ridiculous and insulting. People just really need to stop going to see his movies. He's like a serial rapist of fond childhood memories.

Source.Ex-Ninja Turtles Actor Michael Bay is 'Sodomizing' the TMNT Legacy

The guy who voiced Michaelangelo in the original "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" movies is FURIOUS with Michael Bay ... claiming the director is "sodomizing" the franchise by changing "turtle" history in an upcoming flick.
The outrage stems from a comment Bay made about his upcoming live-action flick at a recent media event ... in which he said, "These turtles are from an alien race, and they are going to be tough, edgy, funny and completely loveable.”
Of course, TMNT fans are FLIPPING OUT ... since everyone knows the turtles mutated during a brush with radioactive ooze after falling through a sewer ... duh.
One of those pissed off fans is voice-actor Robbie Rist ... who recently posted a letter to Bay stating, "You probably don't know me but I did some voice work on the first set of movies that you are starting to talk about sodomizing."
Rist added, "I know believing in mutated talking turtles is kinda silly to begin with but am I supposed to be led to believe there are ninjas from another planet? The rape of our childhood memories continues ... "
Still, Rist tells TMZ ... "Everything I have said here could be off base and wrong ... He has made WAY more money at this than I have."Last edited by Ghost-Rhayne; 03-22-2012 at 05:36.

but the problem is when you have enormously awful movies like Transformers which make boat loads of money and will only reinforce to studios that this crap is what people want. And i used the word rape because Bay isnt just taking our childhood memories and just making bad movies with them, but he is fundamentally changing their core tones and themes to suit his own moronic image in a way that is just too far from the essence of the original.

Transformers catered to the crowd of big action and big explosions. The typical blockbuster crap, but people that don't need a story that has anything to it they go see mindless action.
Studios are corporations and they only look at the business side of things. Transformers made money so they make more, if they think audiences are eating up the alien trend then pitches coming are asked to go that route, it sells so they do it. All they see of us is "kids on the net ranting". They don't give a damn about opinions. Unless there's enough bad publicly that makes it mainstream and they realize there's a loss and a headache on the horizon.

Lol. That is hilarious! Have some rep, why don't ya?
Exactly. Hopefully this movie will flop, and this madness can stop. Although I doubt it'll stop it. And, lol, this thread also reminds me of Jay and Silent Bob. I've only got one thing to say:
Fuck Michael Bay! Fuck him up his stupid ass!

That about sums it up. Well done! I like this post.
The madness will never stop. Like RedDragon7 said, these studios just make the films because they make the money. If there was any sense they would have stopped after the second Transformers [that's what I'm saying at least] because it was so damn awful.
If they're going to cater this to children then I'm sure it'll make its money because their minds are like sponges and most will take to it.
It'll be a sad time...

Guys, maybe it won't be so bad afterall? Here's to hoping:
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/teen...ill_be_aliens/WILL MICHAEL BAY'S TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES ADD ALIEN TO THE LIST TOO?
Every once in a while, a bit of movie news hits the online fan community like a brick, causing an instant furor. "Organic web shooters," "Greedo shot first," and "walkie talkies instead of guns" are all phrases that refer to previous such fan rebellions. Cynics can ridicule fans for these events, but the truth is that they don't really happen that often. Michael Bay definitely set off fans this week, however, with one little comment about his plans to bring back Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It all started with this one little sentence, "These turtles are from an alien race and they are going to be tough, edgy, funny and completely lovable." That's right: Michael Bay wants to add "alien" to their description, even if their abbreviation doesn't become something like TANT instead of TMNT. The next day, Michael Bay responded to the massive online reactions by saying that "Fans need to take a breath, and chill." Director Jonathan Liebesman (Battle: Los Angeles, Wrath of the Titans), who will actually be directing the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Michael Bay is just producing), followed up with his own comments, saying that "the TCRI canisters where the ooze comes from. That is alien ooze." So, this is all about where the ooze comes from, which is an alien race called the Utroms, which you can read about here. What's interesting about all of that, however, is that in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze, changes were made to actually remove any reference to the ooze being having alien connections... which are now being reversed. So where do the RT fans stand? Is the alien connection blasphemous or just a sign that Bay and Liebesman are going really, really old school?
