Best handgun ever made? That is so subjective..
I mean if we're going to go off of something that has supreme staying power, quality and class it would have to be the 1911. But as for a pistol that I would buy and trust my life to, probably the M&P45 (M&P family in general from Smith and Wessen) or Glock. For the value its hard to beat those pistols.
Presently, I think the most intuitive and solid weapon system, that is mainstream, is probably the AR15. I mean yes the AK is famous and all that, but at this point it is severely under engineered compared to its competitors.
There are other designs coming out which are vying to replace the AR15 of course, like the SCAR/XCR. Allows a folding stock (no buffer tube), highly modular like the AR15, more reliable in adverse conditions, and caliber swaps on the fly.
Course', reliability is only an issue if you cannot take the time to keep the AR15 a bit wet (lubricant/oil) and don't clean it often. Caliber swaps may not be your thing, although the AR15 is capable of doing them. But I do dislike the AR15 buffer tube. Would love me some folding stock goodness.Last edited by Vulgotha; 03-21-2012 at 17:14.

My favourite gun in real life is the M16A4, its just a beast in real life and in games as well. It also looks very sexy with the iron sight and in black.

No idea about guns, but the coolest handgun is the SAA Single Action Army.
Trophy-licious!

Colt 1911A1 is the best handgun ever made and there's a lot of dead germans and japanese to prove this. it was called the Yankee Fist for fuck's sake. a good solid build means it's not going to jam or break on you. and the .45 ACP will stop anything dead in its tracks
and my favorite so far is probably my Colt M4, the thing is a cadillac, but that's a really hard choice. i've got a few real beauties
shit I must update, after buying that M1A, if the M4 was a Cadillac, then the M1A is a damned FerrariLast edited by Funeralfog; 04-12-2012 at 12:36.

I thought the thread is about weapons overall but if its about pistols only, my favourite pistol is the glock 17.

Glocks are tried and true, battle proven. I'm just not as fond of them as, say, the M&P for ergonomic reasons. I think the M&P is just a better designed pistol to fit into your hand and aim with.
It also has a few neater features..

I have a couple of favorites. I think everyone knows the M1911 which I think everyone should own one. I haven't fired a glock but I've seen them fired and they seem like they get the job done. My favorite gun in the world is the broom handle and I want one so bad. They cost so much though

I dont know guns specifically. I know the basics. Like for favorite pistol or handgun, I like magnums. And I also like sniper rifles because it has great distance and is hard to learn to use, right? But if you asked me what kinds specifically I couldn't tell you.

M1911...best pistol ever. That and the M9.
Glocks suck ass, just my opinion.
And for rifles? 308. sniper rifle, and my trusty AR15./UPSET THE ESTABLISHED ORDER AND EVERYTHING BECOMES CHAOS\

Without a doubt the best handgun ever made was the Colt 1911A1. It's the most reproduced handgun in history for a reason, and virtually all modern semiautomatic handguns are based on it.
The unrivaled quality of the Colt 1911A1 .45 APC is the primary reason why I carry the Colt 1911A1 Compact as my Conceal-Carry weapon.

Mosin Nagant vintage from 1944,
M&P15 (AR15) with Magpul hand guard, MBUIS, Vgrip, Hogue Grip and Eotech holographic sight.
Airsoft AK105. Built on a real metal receiver with real parts from Arsenal. I use this for airsoft/forest gunning for fun. It really is a blast.
Other stuff in my 'armory':
Kabar combat knife with leather and polymer quick sheath.
MSA 1000 (or something) Gas Mask
A couple of PMAGs fully loaded
GSG9.2 Boots by Adidas ~ Stuff that GSG9 (german specops), Seals, Delta wear. Just got these today, they wear and look like nice sneakers with your pants leg over the top. AMAZINGLY comfortable, very high quality. Durable. All sorts of neat stuff on em'.Last edited by Vulgotha; 03-22-2012 at 03:16.
