Funny thing is that I had posted an early version of it in the Tali'Zorah thread on Bioware's forums and they bitched and moaned at me. I then decided to take the criticism constructively and fixed pretty much everything they mentioned. When I posted the new version everyone loved it...

Moral of the story? Listen to the fans, they DO know what they want.

[EDIT] Oh and also despite what some people argue, art can be critiqued, and it's okay for artists to change their art because others see something that they think should be fixed. (random analogy complete... I'm referencing the ending btw, and how people were bitching that "video games aren't because art doesn't get influenced by the audience" or whatever).

Okay, I reloaded my save to see the other endings:

I liked the "middle" ending the most..the one where you go forward into the beam...I liked how they combined the human flesh with the synthetic flesh, it looked really cool and it felt like the ending that EDI and Joker deserved more than Sheppard ... but having seen all three, I think the ending is generally weak. I kinda get it now more for watching it two more times, but still..it needed more...I wanted Shep to get his revenge on the reapers and illusive man in a much more brutal way..and the kid as the Harbinger? LOL...reminds me of the ending for Contact..it was really good and then when it got to the end, it's like I've been watching it for no reason..it had no meaning anymore..


also...what's up with the unselectable text in the illusive man conversation?I had these two options, but they were blocked out? Do I need to have a game playthrough with a perfect Paragon or Renegade playthrough?

and also, there apparently is a "perfect" ending for this game, aside from the ones we have...apparently if you play all the side missions and get 100% war assets by playing mutliplayer, it's a whole new ending..is that a rumor or real?

You get a tiny little clip where Shepard does a half breath. All the endings are basically the same.

EA this morning announced Mass Effect 3's "Extended Cut" DLC, which adds to the game's ending and will arrive for free at some point this summer. According to the publisher, the content will add "additional cinematic sequences and epilogue scenes," which will apparently offer fans "further clarity to the ending of Mass Effect 3" and "deeper insights into how their personal journey concludes."

The additional content comes as a response to a group of fans who felt the third game ended in an unsatisfactory manner. That outcry apparently had a serious effect at BioWare internally, as project lead Casey Hudson says the team has, "reprioritized [its] post-launch development efforts to provide the fans who want more closure with even more context and clarity to the ending of the game, in a way that will feel more personalized for each player."

No specific information is given about what said content will be, but we sure hope it means we won't see other DLC packs delayed or scrapped as a result. Studio co-founder Ray Muzyka notes,"With the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut we think we have struck a good balance in delivering the answers players are looking for while maintaining the team's artistic vision for the end of this story arc."

Extended Cut will arrive on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC "this summer." It will remain free for download until April 12, 2014, at which point who knows what'll happen.

I finally beat ME3, the overall story wasn't too bad but man there are some things that really just sit wrong with me.

But man what the hell with Joker and the Normandy at the end. He was supposed to be right around Earth, so how did he get to some Mass Relay, did he chicken out? Not to mention I had EDI and Liara with me on the final mission and did the green ending (Synthesis) then who do I see getting out of the Normandy, but Joker with EDI and Liara. Not only is this guy a chicken shit and leaves the battle but he has time to pick-up EDI and Liara from London and then get to a Mass Relay, but forget that small little guy on the team named Shepard. WTF Bioware WTF

The thing with Joker is one of the biggest problems I have with the ending. Totally out of character for him. I wish the ending was like the take earth back trailer.

Shep should've been strutting in there with tons of reinforcements by his side blowing shit up left and right and giving harbinger the finger. The should have like "fuck you" to the little god child and Joker should have come in with the big guns. What is the point of Garrus putting gigantic DEATH CANNONS on the Normandy if Joker is going to run away like a bitch... which is so against his character it isn't funny. I'm going to stop here before I go on a full on rant. I just rekindled my pissed off-ness I had from after beating ME3...

But whatever they do, they lost millions of day-one-must-buy customers for their games.

I think I'm one of them. Sad to say, as I've loved their games since Baldur's Gate.

I care. I'm waiting for that new DLC and ending stuff before I get back into ME3. I'll be playing Skyrim and other stuff until then.
