MLB 12: The Show vs MLB 2K12

Today I did some comparisons with both games. I don't know if it is because the PS3 has more room with Blu-Ray, but the graphics difference is pretty much night and day.

MLB 2K12 when compared to The Show, looks like a launch game. Stadiums and player models are seriously lacking in detail. The grass and ball parks in 2K12 are so incredibly vibrant that it just looks weird.

Basically, MLB 2K12 is one ugly ass game. The Show is so detailed and the player models look amazing!

2K12 is not a bad game though, it just looks like shit.

Have any of you guys compared the games? I would talk more about the game play, but I have not spent a whole lot of time with 2K12. I am not sure I can lol.

P.S. I compared The Show with the Xbox 360 version of MLB 2K12.

The Show is the superior title but 2k12 isn't bad at all. Tbh NBA 2k12 is the best sports title released this year.

The Show is the pinnacle of baseball games.

2k needs to stick to what they do best. The NBA 2k games and if they can get the NFL license off EA i'm confident they can make a great football game like they used to.

Bluray has nothing to do with it. The Show just has a better graphics engine than 2K does.

the show is all fur coat and no knickers, 2k is graphically a lot worse but is more fun to play.

I just played a full game of 2K12 and I think it comes up short in game play.

MLB 12: The Show is over 20gb. The limitations of the Xbox 360 keep the graphics far below The Show because of the lack of space. The lack of space also causes 2K to use the same textures many times over. Grass, faces, walls, etc.

the entire line of 2K baseball games is crap compared to The Show. 2K7 looked like a PS2 launch title. The gameplay in the games is far inferior to that of The Show. the only reason its any kind of successful, is because there isnt a good baseball game on the 360, so thats pretty much all those people have to choose from.

I really need to import The Show, another typical SONY fail here since we get the 2k titles.
SONY makes sooo many dumb moves, but I wanna get it for the Move additions.
