like Windows Chicago, or Durango for the new Xbox, etc...like Ice Cream Sandwich for the new Android OS

4 being unlucky for the Japanese culture, fine... didn't stop them from releasing FFXIII in the US, 13 is unlucky here LMAO

Anyway, I don't think it will be Orbis, but I also don't think it will be "4"

13 in the US is very different from 4 in Japan.
Here the 13 crap is like a joke, there they take it seriously. They even skip that number in buildins; it goes 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, ...
I have a friend who works in Toyota here in the US and even here they skip the 4th floor, so totally different.

I personally think Orbis, if the rumor is true, it's just a development name like the 'Revolution' for the Nintendo Wii. But I also think they won't name it Playstation 4 or PS4... it's even kinda lame. They need something fresh IMO.

Nintendo consoles are worth getting for Mario and Zelda games alone. If they have full dev support then the console is that much more attractive.

I got a dislike from someone else, and I wonder after reading this... Did people understand what I was saying? The rumor about PS4 not allowing used / rental games is the same rumor that was around back before PS3 came out. The Wii comment was referring to before the Wii released, when people found out it would essentially be a minor upgrade in power from Gamecube. Every generation before this had a significant upgrade in power. Nintendo was the first to focus on something other than power in their next gen, and a lot of gamers doubted it would go anywhere.

It means circle... Mix it up Vita (life) and you got yourself a circle of life. Or a perfect symbiosis between the handheld and it's console counterpart!!!

Playstation will remain in the name regardless of the final name they chose

Even though everything we know is complete rumors, I am willing to bet good money that the next system will be called the PlayStation Orbis, just makes sense on the way they named the Vita, but the name Omni just sounds horrendous!
