I have watched quite a few movies in 3D and I have a couple that really impressed me.
#1. Sammy's Adventure - Probably one of the best 3D movies I have ever seen. Incredible depth and some nice pop outs.
#2. IMAX Deep Sea 3D - Some really nice 3D with some really cool pop outs.
#3. Avatar 3D - This movie is mostly just depth, but it is done very well.
#4. Alice in Wonderland 3D - Could be that I just really enjoy this movie, but I thought the 3D looked very nice.
#5. The Adventures of Tintin - The movie was pretty boring, but the 3D was really good.
You guys have any favorites?

I haven't seen too many but I bought Tron Legacy and that was really nice in 3D. It was a mix between the 3D effects themselves and the art direction of that movie which i feel is really crisp. There was not a whole lot of pop-out 3D effects but when preset I felt they were pretty good.
Oh Also my sisters own The Legend of the Guardians, that owl movie? Apparently that's really impressive 3D throughout. I'll give it a watch sometime

I liked The Lion King in 3D at the theaters. I own the blu-ray, including the 3D blu-ray, but can't rate that since I don't own a 3D television.

3D is as pointless as HD movies then. I love 3D movies and for me it enhances the experience. 3D even makes shitty movies worth watching.
I have "This Ain't The Real Ghostbusters XXX 3D" which is actually not bad. They did a pretty damn good job making fun of Ghostbusters and some of the people really look like those in the movie. The sex is pretty cool too lol.Last edited by Lethal_NFS; 03-29-2012 at 15:18.

I'm like Neo in the Matrix...I bullet time that shit. :P
3D isn't pointless. For me personally, my eyes are like "thank fuck! depth perception, now these games look more natural". I love depth perception in games, it's not a TOTAL game changer, but it's a BIG step up for me. Games like Batman AC, AC: Revelations and Uncharted are just AMAZING in 3D. Looking over AC as Batman perched on a gargoyle and having the city look as if there is actual space between things instead of looking like a whole load of cut outs placed on a peice of paper is awesome. I think people who dismiss 3D have't seen a movie or played a game that does it justice.
And LOL at your movie Lethal. Mine was one of those chick porn movies, no uglies shown
. I didn't know this when I bought it lol However, it still showed me the world of porn in the third dimension haha.

And you keep thinking 3D is pointless. You seem to know more than the rest of the world in terms of entertainment. Stats show that people love 3D movies and this is why there are so many movies being made in 3D.
3D enhances your viewing experience. That is pretty much the point. So it being called pointless really makes no sense at all.

toy story 3. great at the imax. although cloudy with a chance of meatballs was excellent...its very vibrant colourwise and that enhanced the 3d for me...
