I don't like Apple, therefore, I don't support them. Sorry if I can't speak for everyone. But being big doesn't necessarily mean they're great.

The way I see it is that all these companies are just being bashed for being at the top. As simple as that.

Yeah, people bash Apple simply because they're at the top, right? It has nothing to do with their expensive products, arrogant attitude, or closed architecture. Maybe the way you see it is that no one should say anything bad about these companies because they're turning a profit.

I'm surprised that EA is considered to be one of the top 4 worst companies in America though. Activision is, in my opinion, a lot worse. They've driven so many of their IPs (Tony Hawk, Guitar Hero etc.) to the ground.

I don't find anything wrong with Apple and Microsoft. In fact I don't know anything about most companies.

I can't believe they still make Tony Hawk games. I remember being on TH 3 or 4 on the PS1!

EA made FIFA since 1993 on the Megadrive.
Besides Activision s more a publisher than developer EA does both.

How APPLE isn't at the VERY LEAST in the final four is beyond me. You can't get stock worth at $600 US without being EVIL/horrible/bad/etc.

EA has been voted the "worst company in America" by readers of customer watchdog site The Consumerist.

EA and Bank America had beaten a number of other contenders - including Ticketmaster, Apple, GameStop, WalMart, Sony and PayPal - to reach the final round, which the games publisher won with 64.03 per cent of the public vote. Over 250,000 votes were counted throughout the contest.

Reasons cited for its win include nickel and diming customers with post-launch DLC, buying up small developers to snuff out competition and releasing buggy games.

However, the gong doesn't seem to have knocked EA off its stride. Corporate comms chief John Reseburg brushed off the award in a Kotaku interview, pointing to its efforts to include same-sex relationships in recent games such as Mass Effect 3 and Star Wars: The Old Republic as proof that it's not all bad.

"We're sure that British Petroleum, AIG, Philip Morris, and Halliburton are all relieved they weren't nominated this year," he added.

"We're going to continue making award-winning games and services played by more than 300 million people worldwide."

I don't see how EA beat AT&T aka AT$T, who threatened the government to take their frustruation about not being able to enter a merger then carried out those threats. EA sucks no doubt, but they are nowhere near as bad as AT$T.
