This is not looking too good.
Let me start off by saying that I'm one of the rare breed who prefers their first-person shooters on console -- I'm allergic to PC gaming -- and was quite looking forward to having a go at Resistance on the show floor. Since it's one of the games that Sony deems worthy to keep hidden from public view -- to see anything you needed to queue before entering a closed-off play area made to look like one of the bombed-out bunkers in the game -- I did the 20-30 minute wait to get some hands-on action.
The verdict? Although graphically it was fine (but nothing we haven't seen before), I had a horrible time with it, and even stopped playing before the end of my alloted time. Targeting didn't feel right at all and was just too loose, making it too difficult to get a bead on anything. It could have something to do with the fact that the cramped space ensured that we had to stand way too close to the giant HDTV sets, but still, unless controls get smoother, I think I'll look elsewhere for my next FPS. Now i'm going to be jumped all over from fanboys saying "OMG YOU SAID ANOTHER NEGATIVE THING, I CALL TROLL ON YOU! I CALL TROLL ON YOU!"

Allright. I still want the game. Bad.
If this was gamespot or ign this would get me worried but it's kotaku. Not saying kotaku is the devil i just don't know how reliable they are since i don't follow there coverage, so i could care less what they think.

Nope, I'm not going to jump on you DangerDog. I will, however, say you made a pretty damn stupid choice of site.
- Kotaku is the only site to say that R: FoM had aiming problems.
- Cheesy weapons? They obviously love AK-47s and M4s, because 9/10 shooting games have those...
- Even Joystiq, the one who bashed Resistance at E3, has yet to write a bad comment
- And finally, Kotaku make up lies, ignore good news, and overall hate on the PS3.
DD, if this had come from a site like IGN or Gamespot (aka, a proffesional site), I would've not posted at all.Avatar credit goes to Mik2121 of NeoGAF

I agree with exYle. They are Kotaku is just purely hatin' on the PS3. I will only believe what IGN/gamespot has to say... And thats 90% of the time. I also like to leach 10% to my choice.

I knew it. Just about any post from dangerdog regarding the ps3 has to be negative.
Anyhow, it's just one preview. There are many other sites who think the game is marevelous, and were left wanting more.

Kotaku is the most biased against PS3 compared to every other gaming publication out there.
I'm glad there's a preview out there, but I'll wait for other faces in the media to take a look at the game, and of course, I'll hold my judgements for when I actually play it.Samsung HL-S5087W 50'' 1080p DLP

Considering the good reviews this game has been getting from most of the credible sites of late, this is article is really nothing more than one more confirmation of their lack of credibility.

Kotaku are generally Sony haters, but for what it's worth, they just posted a blurb about Lair:
So they're not entirely Sony haters.I'm starting to gush a little bit, but for good reason: this game kicks ass.

Here's a post I made detailing Kotaku's journalistic integrity on the Ps3:
6 Good Reasons Not to Believe Anything Kotaku Says About the Ps3
This "preview" is just their latest FUD.
I didn't want your rep points anyways, jerk.

What can you say? Its Kotaku. They have never once said anything good about the PS3. So this is no shock, when everyone else says how impressed they were, Kotaku says it sucks.

How surprising, dangerdog making a negative thread for PS3 or a PS3 game!

Add that with kotaku and you have a great team.
