Huh. This is sudden. I never heard of any plans in regards to this. Really cool bonus since I'm a Prime member.

I just downloaded the Amazon Video app. Time to test it out!
For those who have never had Amazon Prime, you get a free 1 month trial.Last edited by Lethal_NFS; 04-03-2012 at 23:54.

I think it is worth it. There are some pretty good free movies like Mission Impossible 3, Dumb and Dumber, Shooter, etc. TV shows and news channels. The picture quality is good and streams pretty quickly.
There are still movies that you have to pay to watch which range from $2.99-$3.99

I like the Amazon app and I also like the interface. First impression so far is that it does not seem better than Netflix for me because on my connection Netflix streams wonderfully and Amazon Instant video has been pausing...
I am thinking it's only temporary.....but definitely a nice surprise! I had been waiting for it.
EDIT
....yeah I think that was only temporary. Some things I would like amazon to add is an indication after watching an episode of a tv show, that you've seen it already...like Netflix does......but I am sure that will be added in time..Last edited by sainraja; 04-04-2012 at 03:33.

BOOOOO!!!!
Daywalker is not pleased.

I am stunned that some people appear to love their Playstation(1,2,3) or Xbox(360) more than I love the Denver Broncos.
Trust me, it's sad

Being a prime member this is nice. I browsed some of the sections earlier and I like the interface. For an added bonus of having prime, it's a great app. Definitely tomorrow going to have to check some stuff out to see how it runs.

So basically just the Lovefilm for America..that's good I guess, though I prefer Netflix.

The problem is after Netflix split off their DVD by mail service they became stagnant on adding new movies. I get email every few months that Amazon has added 3,000 more movies and shows, while Netflix adds not much. Plus the free 2 day shipping and subscribe and save on groceries from Amazon adds a ton of value. I will still keep Netflix for now, I just don't see it being for more than a few months.
My biggest question is Crackle, owned by Sony took the time to write really nice apps for my Roku and 360 but on my ps3 I'm forced to use their crappy browser.

I've been on Prime for ages (I figure I use enough shipping in a year to pay for Prime a couple times over so it makes sense for me to get free 2nd day shipping), and never had a viewer to watch all the video on a TV, I'd been considering one of the new Roku boxes, now I don't have to. I don't much care about the HBO service, since I'd have to pay a subscription to use it and they really only have one show I'm interested in.

Not only is the free two day delivery worth it if you often purchase things but almost always you get release day shipping on most items. Also, I have bought many blu-rays from amazon and almost always if I get a new release Amazon will give me a free amazon video rental. For the prices it is a nice deal. Definately worth it to those that utilize the service. If you buy stuff every week off there like I do then a great service. Amazon Prime is basically 9.99 a month. I wouldn't sign up just for the video service but if you shop there it is worth it.

Wow i dont know what you are all raving about i am in washington state and amazon is messing with the prices to its customers here where i live at this is what we got the app came on the app says you have to pay 5.99 a month for the service awesome then the services says i have to rent the movie from them at 20.00 a film due to washington state passing the film law here recently which has even screwed up netflix dvd release here in washington state what a bunch of unfair garbage.
