Side-scrolling beat 'em up hallmark Double Dragon will return this summer, in neon drenched, punk busting, high fiving action, thanks to WayForward Technologies. The developer behind old-school updates like A Boy and his Blob and Contra 4 is bringing street level fisticuffs to Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network this summer.
It's called Double Dragon: Neon.
WayForward calls it "a face-melting 80’s tour de force" with "bodacious characters, gnarly combat, and… pure over-the-top baditude." Sweet haircuts, shredded vests and lots of punching fodder appear to be on offer.
Double Dragon: Neon also touts an "innovative ‘mix tape’ level up system and power-up high-fives," the latter of which you can see in the game's first screen shots below.
"Taking place in a hyper-saturated omniverse, players beat up baddies across earth and beyond against the Black Dragon Clan’s most nefarious leader yet- the supernatural scourge Skullmageddon," says WayForward, colorfully. "You could go it alone, but why wouldn’t you want to grab a buddy and take your game to the next level with drop-in, drop-out online ‘Bro-Op'?!"
Good point. Here are some screens of the brawler in action.

I don't need no relationship with my tv. Why the hell should I pay you more money to use features I can get at the touch of a button on my remote? Oh, you want me to use these features with a camera and my voice instead? I'm not that damn lazy and I want to save some money FOR GAMES.
