Watch: The NSFW Trailer for 'Zombie Ass: Toilet of the Dead,' Japanese Cinema's Next Gift to the World

Odds are you already know if you're going to watch a movie titled Zombie Ass: Toilet of the Dead. There's nothing vague about it. It's an instant sales pitch, ready for your embrace or scorn.
Having said that, even if you already know that you're not the target demographic for sitting through eighty-five minutes of a movie called Zombie Ass: Toilet of the Dead, we do think you should watch the first English-language trailer for it. Why? Because if you imagine it's a trailer for a fake Grindhouse movie from the '80s, it's pretty spot on. It's funny, it's playful in an inconceivable, someone-actually-made-this kind of way, and, despite a few moments making it truly Not Safe For Work, it's not that vulgar (at least not for a movie called Zombie Ass).
That's just the trailer, though. Trust us when we say the actual movie, which played Fantastic Fest last year, isn't quite as enjoyable and is certainly more vulgar. Sure, it's still got the same tone, but any worthwhile jokes are spread so very thin across a trying 85 minutes about a foursome of school girls who go fishing in a river known to have parasites, so they can catch some tapeworm-infested fish, eat them, and stay thin forever. But, hey, we think the same can be said of most of cult Japanese director Noboru Iguchi's films. So if you happen to legitimately love movies like The Machine Girl and RoboGeisha, though, you just might like Zombie Ass: Toilet of the Dead.
Again, to reiterate in case you skipped the above because you were so very excited, but this trailer is Not Safe For Work.
