the bluray drive in my old VAIO made that noise....drive died not long after
was the thing being used (READ OFF OF etc) i.e installing anything? loading? or was this just under normal playing circumstances?Last edited by Fijiandoce; 04-08-2012 at 13:15.

i've only ever noticed it whilst loading or installing
never during gameplay though.

My PS3 slim makes a fair bit of noise, more so than my 360S when the game is installed to the HD. However, recently my power supply for my Xbox seems like it's taking a crap and has been loud making my PS3 quieter for now lol

my ps3 makes rattling sound after 20 or 30 mins,but it's fine cause thats the plastic which gets expand and contract on heating

Maybe its overheating, all slims do. Buy a cooler fan if you already haven't got one?

it's very normal. it's just the laser moving. it's not even noticeable unless you keep it quiet around the house
