Anyone here ever watched "Pawn Stars" on The History channel? It's a really good show and historical stuff is sold and pawned all the time. One episode I watched today featured a guy who sold the battle plans for The Battle of Iwo Jima in World War II and then another episode featured a guy who sold some type of Cobra car.

Its an alright show, they show it here in Australia too with Hardcore Pawn and American Pickers which I prefer better.

I actually watch pawn stars and American restoration whenever its on, cant wait till pawn stars is "new again". Pretty interesting what kind of items they get.
Hardcore Pawn is, IMO, horrible. So much about that place just annoys me.

i enjoy Pawn stars, yet i don't like any of the people who work there lol. and some people you just want to shank because they go to pawn their grandfather's heirlooms. i really dig american Pickers

Pawn Stars is actually the most viewed show on cable.
And Hardcore Pawn is horrible, I agree. It's so fake. It's more about staged drama instead of the items being pawned.

I watched a couple the other week myself actually.
It shocked me when one guy had the head of a Stretch Serpent toy - just the head. They gave him $500 (I think for it), and in the end the actual value of it was about $4000, because the toy itself is so rare today because hardly any were sold. I felt sorry for the guy who originally sold it to them, as he must not have done his research and he'd basically lost out on so much money.
It's an interesting show though, I must admit.

I occasionally watch pawn stars and storage wars, and apart from being scripted to hell and back, they are ok.
pawn stars: you have the arc of the covenant? in mint condition, I could probably do $134297bn, but in it's current state, best I can do is 50 bucks.
storage wars: hmm, shit on a stick, looks like early 50's, there's 500 bucks right there.Don't waste your words I don't need anything from you.
I don't care where you've been or what you plan to do.
I am the resurrection and I am the light.
I couldn't ever bring myself to hate you as I'd like.
