The losses are mounting up from the tv division. IMO Sony should get out of the tv business sell off it's Bravia plant but liscense the technology and concentrate on other media. That formula worked for Pioneer. These losses can have an effect on all of Sony Divisions. Kaz has his worked cut out he is schedule to address Sony financial situation on April 12.

I have to agree. Sony needs to shut down their television division in order to prevent further damage and focus on things that are profitable for them.

I'm sure they got something in store for the tv department. I'm surprised nothing has been done already since it's been losing the company money for a while now.

Looks like Kaz was right when he said that things may get worse before they get better. I really don't see how theses massive losses won't affect every division. I guess time will tell if this will effect the next PS launch.

They should have been cut that tv sector off. 8 years of losses? Really, Sony? I should have had that job. Sit on my ass and pretend nothing is happening while collecting a hefty salary. Smh...Still, I'm ready for next gen. PSvita has me excited to see what they pack into the ps4 package.
No thank you. I'll be gaming DRM free on a stronger console for $100 cheaper instead
Sony trolled MS. PS4 fans didn't do it. We just laughed at MS and anyone getting mad. $399 FTW!

In their current structure (not saying gaming cause I can hear it already)... as a BUSINESS, their model was unsustainable.
Cheaper products that perform as well, or better than theirs are killing them in the marketplace.
No one feels Bravia is the TV to have now, it has gotten to be a vicious market.
I believe Kaz is going to get the place whipped back into shape, but he is going to be forced to make a lot of cuts.
