How young would you go

I have a mate who has just started going with a 17 year old, he tells me she will turn 18 in a few weeks. The problem is he is late 30's. I just cant wrap my head around this. Would you except it?

Although my grandmother and grandfather married near the same ages. It was a different time then.

I personally think there should be a 5 or 6 year barrier on either side.

My mom is 5 years younger than my dad and I think that is still a little on the 'too much' side. But at that time it was a norm (still is though) I wouldn't be comfortable if the gap is more than 3 years

Well, my wife is 4 years younger than I am.

However, if I were to suddenly find myself single anything of legal age would be fine with me. I've done the marriage bit, and while I am very happily married it's not something I would ever do again. I've found my perfect mate, anything else would be purely for sex, at which point the younger and wilder, the better.
