I'm in my twenties, so I'd prefer to date a guy who is at least 18. Age isn't the only thing that factors in. Does he smoke? Does he drink excessively? Is he known for partying and nothing but one night stands? Is he sweet? Is he a bum and dead beat? etc.
Awww! Little baby bunny! <3

Age gaps are discussed an awful lot today, and these days I've seen more and more examples of couples having larger age gaps. Funny, most guys who go for younger women seem to get a bollocking from their peers, but when it's an older woman going for a toy boy, no one bats an eyelid.
I'm pretty relaxed about the whole thing, I think that if you love each other, it shouldn't matter. I mean, within reason of course; I'm not talking about anything illegal. But for me personally, I'm 28 and I'd have no problem going for someone as 'young' as 20. However, once I hit 30, that will change.
James Marsters, best known for playing Spike in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, is about 50, and he's married to a 25-year-old. Not only that, but he had been dating her for about four years prior to that, so you do the math. Personally, I wouldn't date someone that young if I were his age, BUT, I wouldn't berate someone for doing it all the same. I mean, who am I to judge? They're happy, they're both adults, so more power to them. Yes, this whole thing could be argued to the ends of the earth, but whatever, that's how I feel.
Anyway, for the record, my ideal age would be 5 years younger than me, so 23.
However, as Black Wolf pointed out, there are far more pressing factors than age. I sure as hell wouldn't date someone with a reputation for being a scrubber who has been around the track more times than an F1 car.
