So which developer should Capcom outsource Onimusha to?

With the announcement that the California based Spark Unlimited will be handling Lost Planet and we all know about Capcom's outsourcing strategy with other titles, who should they get to revive Onimusha?

No fucking one. Onimusha is a japanese-based game. I loved it a few years back, but I rather not have a follow up than another stupid westernization. It would only fuck up the entire game. Also, DmC says hi.

I agree with you but we all know Capcom has other plans. I think it was Inafune who said that the only Capcom games that won't be outsourced are Resident Evil and Monster Hunter. May as well get ready for "Onimusha 5: The dual gun wielding samurai" .

Yep, I miss the Onimusha franchise but I wouldn't want anyone else to mess it up. Let sleeping dogs lie.

Resident Evil: Operation Racoon City was outsourced...

I know it's not one of the main ones. Anyhow....I feel that Resident Evil (main) should be outsourced, then maybe, we'll get one that goes back to its original roots.

I also agree with you there.. and I was the biggest DmC naysasser ever but the game is actually starting to look really good. I'll buy it and play it and if it turns out really great I wouldn't mind Team Ninja giving Onimusha a go.

that being said I do want to see what game Team Ninja wants to make next..

Hope they never do, DmC looks ok gameplay wise but everything else puts me off. I love Onimusha more then DmC, to see that franchises ruined next would annoy me.

Here's a novel idea for Capcom. Develop your big name titles in house and stop sending them to small, C rate western studios.

I've never played an Onimusha game before. I just remember seeing a computer-generated cinematic for the third game back in the day and thinking it looked really cool. But what makes them stand out from other titles?

As the first game to really KICK ASS on the PS2, Onimusha has a special place in my gaming heart. I can't think of anyone off the top of my head who could handle it outside of major developers who work for other production companies, so it would never happen. I really would like to see another Onimusha game for sure, but not under those circumstances.
