I accumulated over 2,000GB in my pirating days. Good thing this is over and I am now doing it legally.
Still, I'm downloading quite a lot with all the HD videos I watch in a week.

Complete ans utter bs
I have Virgin Media hooked up to my PS3 and the rest of the house has BT infinity( don't ask)
Now I've got the 60mb package on Virgin & the BT is the 76mb
Now I have always had a problem getting 60mb speed, I usually get 48mb or less with some fluctuations where it will shoot up to 94mb
The BT infinity however was 76mb when the guy installed it, half-hour later and to this day it has been 18mb MAX
I have give up calling both of them cuz I only get someone in India who can't exactly me by reading the trouble shooting page of there site
The only good thing about it is the upload speed has stayed true and is about 8mb

Like I posted previuos its hit and miss the 76Mbit best downgrading to 40Mbit if BT will let you because they say "For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 12 Mbps-38.72 Mbps." No bullshit. And since you have 18Mbit they will most likely say its acceptable.
And BT being split into "retail/wholesale" and "Openreach" means you can never communicate with an engineer directly to tell them whats eben done and where the last guy left off so they all start from scratch. Also ifyou ask to speak to an engineer they wont put yu through it drives you up th wall.
Try this speed checker does it work for non BT customers as well?

Sorry to bring up a semi-old thread, how are you guys finding it on BT?
We've had infinity 2 for about 2 weeks now, and no download limit or throttling on Usenet is lovely (:
