I'm sorry for those who work their ass off and get a normal wage who were cut off. For the rich ass executives who have to give back their bonus, good job! Sony have a long hard road ahead of em, they wont get far being all MC Hammer like up in this bitch.

Sony should definitely look into a global PS Store. Don't say it can't be done because it can.

Well, if there's the need for a change than do it. I can't imagine the day when the world has to say good bye to Sony. hopefully we wont have to.

You have a lot of executives who already earmarked those bonuses on other businesses. Good luck Sony trying to get that money back. Hmmmm I wonder if Kaz will give his big bonus back?

uuummmmm...Fried Beer iis a reality.

They shouldn't ask they should take. If that doesn't work then break their legs for kicks

It's a shame how the executives will rake in so much money that Sony will fire 10,000 workers and ask for those bonuses back. Ridiculous.

No but they can say "return the bonus, or we will reduce your base pay to make up the difference"
needs of the company require all members who wish to stay to take a 10% or higher cut in pay.
Simple as that.
OR they can return the bonus, and avoid the pay cut.
This isn't a "I think they can" scenario. I have worked for two companies who did exactly this to their executives.

I never understood ''bonuses'' given to underperforming executives... It's like Scott Gomez salary!!!!
When the Bogeyman goes to sleep every night, he checks his closet for Chuck Norris.
when Chuck Norris goes to sleep every night, he checks under his bed for Daryl Dixon!!

Damn...it's always the little guy that gets the boot.
The Execs got enough dough anyway.

A good share of that 10,000 being laid off, 2000 to 3000, are from the Sony chemical division. Yes, Sony has a chemicals division and you would know why if you knew Morita-san and his inspirations from Ford, IBM and vertical integration. Vertical integration isn't working for hardly anyone anymore except maybe Ford and it isn't working for Sony. That is what Kaz has ahead and it is called flattening of stovepipes. Sony still has 168,000 employees world-wide.

I think we'll see a lot more in the coming years as the business consolidates its position; could easily see the business reduced to < 100k, if not more.

Of course, you would drag that up but fail to remember that Sony was the one that brought the first commercial lithium ion battery into the consumer market after seven years of research and was also the first to produce lithium ion battery packs for cars. This is the forum for taking potshots at Sony.
The battery fires were a result of manufacturing problems and nothing fundamentally wrong with the design.
The chemicals division also manufactures touch screen film. Both battery and touch screens are very low profit margin with high labor and capital equipment costs. Most of it is outsourced but they still have over a dozen plants. Beyond the entertainment division, Sony is a sprawling enigma.

Would anyone honestly return their bonus they were given? I know I wouldn't. Mostly because I probably would have already spent it.
