Sleeping Dogs Release Date and Pre-Order Bonuses Revealed

Square Enix has announced today that the upcoming cop game Sleeping Dogs (previously True Crime: Hong Kong) will be released on August 14, 2012 in North America on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC (August 17, 2012 in Europe). Along with that announcement, Square-Enix also revealed some of the pre-order bonuses you can get from a few popular retailers.

Pre-order incentives for Best Buy, GameStop and Amazon customers are as follows:

Best Buy: ‘Georges St. Pierre (GSP)’ Pack:


•GSP’s signature “flying punch”
•Exclusive GSP outfit including T-shirts, headband and shorts
•GSP’s outfit unlocks the “flying punch” and increases grappling and throwing damage


GameStop: ‘Police Protection’ Pack:


•Exclusive “High Speed” Mission
•Exclusive HK Police SWAT Outfit
•Exclusive assault rifle
•Exclusive SWAT Police Vehicle


Amazon: ‘Martial Arts’ Pack:


•Shaolin Showdown Mission
•Shaolin Warrior outfit (with increased striking damage)
•Bonus Triad XP points
•Wing Chun decoration for safehouse (with temporary combat buff)

More exclusive content for the digitally downloadable PC version of Sleeping Dogs will be revealed at a later date.

So many games being released in the second half of 2012, i will probably skip this unless it an awesome game.

Fucking ridiculous how every game has different pre-order incentives in different retailers. That's why I'm buying my games when they drop the price or second hand, with a few exceptions. I might be the only one but I'll vote with my wallet.

man that's gay, hopefully they'll release all of it when the game comes out, I hate it when there's a load of different pre-order bonuses.

Pre orders mean nothing to me, its usually just crap that it isnt even useful in the game, or is made redundant after a few missions..

Anyway, not much else coming out in August so far that I'm interested in, so i'll be getting this
