Rumor – Black Ops 2 reveal coming in two weeks

A retail source has sent Kotaku an image of teaser poster which is purportedly some sort of save the date deal for Black Ops 2. The date on the poster is for May 2 where it states to come back for a “debriefing.” Note the Treyarch and Activision logos on the poster. If legitimate, it means more news on the next Call of Duty game will be revealed in the next couple of weeks. We’ll send a mail to Activision on this, but we don’t expect the firm to confirm anything until it’s ready. Nice! I'm ready to see what's in store for BO this time around. All the original BO modes + Kill Confirmed + some new modes that I'm sure Treyarch has in store would = me happy.

Sweet, Black Ops was much better than MW2/MW3. The only good parts about MW3 were Kill Confirmed/Infected/All Or Nothing. Other then that it was a big downgrade from Black Ops imo. They completely ditched the in-depth stats Black Ops had, seemed to me they just dumbed down MW3 because of COD Elite.
Hopefully that won't happen with Black Ops 2 but I doubt it.

Looking forward to Black Ops 2 as most have said and even though it's not a game breaking feature, I really hope the dive is back in after it was removed from MW3. I thought it was a great little feature

I don't think it took them too long to realise this. Fairly certain they've already committed to Elite stuff being available in-game from the next MW title.

Though the pessimist in me just says Activision took it away so they could sell it back like they're doing something great. Much like dedicated servers on PC.

For the PS3 version(Black Ops) the game was a freaking nightmare to play. It took them more then a month to fix the issues it had. Not much on MW3 though(from my experience).

Main problem with black ops for me was the infinite load screen 'waiting for other players' when loading a map. Hard reboot of Ps3 needed after that. Played it on Pc for months as a fix during my ownership of the game never came. And dedicated servers on the PC was awesome as well. Keeping my eye on this to see how it improves definitely

Anyways, as long as Black Ops 2 gets rid of Second chance then I'm good. They also need to improve the knife kills because I swear that even Black Ops and MW3 have commando.

Yes it did. But it was pretty much fixed within a month or so. MW3 is still riddled with the issue.

Another thing that needs a serious re-design is the party system. In Black Ops it was far from perfect as it was really hit and miss for me. However MW3 took it to a whole other level of stupidity.
For some reason someone over at IW/Sledgehammer thought it was a good idea to not be able to join a friend without a game invite. It wouldn't even surprise me if they just forgot a simple open-party feature but couldn't be bothered to patch it in.
Now that wouldn't be a problem if the game invites actually worked but they don't. The amount of time I wasted on trying to join someones party is mind-boggling.

Yep the invite only thing was annoying! If anything they should give you the option for you to turn on the invite only if you want. Or either a list of friends from your Xbox or PS3 friend list that you could allow to join you at anytime. Either way the open invite and by invitation only systems just don't work but MW3 was so much more annoying than BOs.
