Need for Speed: Most Wanted 2 listed by South African retailer! Also, Dead Space 3.

Leak-prone South African retailer BT Games today posted pre-order pages for Dead Space 3 and Need For Speed: Most Wanted 2 (since altered). Neither title has been officially announced, although there's been plenty of chatter about the former.

Eurogamer grabbed screens of the Need For Speed Most Wanted 2 posting. This isn't the first time in recent memory that BT Games, which bases its listings on information provided by publishers and local distributors, has posted pre-orders before an official announcement. The company outed Jak and Daxter HD Collection in October, over a month before it ever became official.

I would welcome a sequel to Most Wanted. It was my favorite Need for Speed title. I enjoyed the setting and felt like a boss outrunning the police.

I highly doubt EA would make Most Wanted 2. They like to throw away great games including Most Wanted, and C&C Renegade, both of which were supposed to have direct sequels which were either cancelled or never made.

Most Wanted 2? would like Underground 3 but MW2 is good enough for now.

And just for reference, imo Most Wanted was when EA lost it again, not that wasn't a good game, it added Cops but stripped away a lot of what U2 added, and every NFS game after became worse, I liked HP thou, but that played more like burnout.

The only Underground game that I've played through and completed was the original so I can't really comment on the sequel. It was fun, don't get me wrong, but the main appeal for me was that Most Wanted had a blacklist of racers that you needed to defeat in order to reclaim your BMW M3 GTR. And it was a nice-looking car.

Also, the fact that the races took place during the day made the whole "evade the cops/win the race" routine more interesting since I was always under the impression that illegal street races happened when the sun went down.

That was their attempt of makin it look fresh, which kinda made some cosmetic customizations pointless cuz they don't have the same effect in the day, I think eventually they thought fuck it! you drive what we give ya!

I'll get both, maybe i'll wait for a while before i buy NFS because The Run was a little bit underwhelming.
Still prefer arcade racers to sims though...

I gotta ask all the Need for Speed fans if they ever follow the story god damn it; Carbon is Need for Speed Most Wanted 2, it's like super obvious, this will either be: a continuation of Carbon (aka MW2), Remake of the Original Need for Speed Most Wanted or a Prequel to Most Wanted.

I guess it depends on when you were introduced to the franchise but the original Hot Pursuit and Porsche Unleashed are considered to be some of the better Need for Speed titles. I, myself, didn't get into the franchise until Hot Pursuit II was released for the PlayStation 2. I know it was fun to play because I could pursue other racers with a police vehicle.

Omg. If need for speed most wanted 2 comes out then i have no way of describing how good its going to be especially after the first one it was the best need for speed out.

I'm really hoping that this one will top it.
Just wow, really can't wait for this. Hopefully it will come out.
