Right because we didn't have the prequel in a psp game before and his back-story told three times already. There's no need to visit prequel territory, but sequel instead. When I read the title for this "Asenscion" I thought we would get a game where after the events of GOW3 he's in heaven slaying all the remaining gods.

Can't really say that I'm all that excited for the first time at a GOW game. Hopefully they will spice it up some. I will play it when it comes out but definitely not going to be towards the top of my must buy list.

It could be good and bad. I'd like to see how Kratos is manipulated. Prequels aren't always bad, even if we know what happens. I mean, Halo: Reach was still really good, even though we knew what was coming.

I'm also glad that the new game doesn't carry on after the finality of GoW3. The ending did leave it slightly open, since the fall from Olympus mimicked Kratos falling to his death at the beginning of the first game. Ruining that conclusion would have really left a sore spot with me.

Also, it's a bit awkward that Amazon leaked all of this a day before Sony was going to do the official announcement. I think some trouble may be coming for Amazon, mayhaps.

Yeah well not what I was hoping for, but at least its another awesome PS3 exclusive, and at least its not a sequel... I agree with Tim Nunes, the 'trilogy' was well rounded and doesn't need a fourth game.

But as I said in previous threads... how many damn prequels and sidestories can GOW have 0_0
