Feel very privileged to have an early copy of Resistance Burning Skies.
I've played the first level so far and I'm blown away! This is what Vita is all about for me, quality games for the core audience.
I'll have a preview written soon enough, but if anyone has any questions about the game I'll try and answer them

Seriously good. It's of the same quality as Uncharted: Golden Abyss, minus all the greenery. Great character models that explode into pieces when you shoot them. Good fire and lighting effects too.
Guns are great and touch screen implementation with the guns works really well.

Already?!. I want to get my hands on that game!. I'm such a sucker for Resistance games, Lol.
Apart form the usual graphics and physics; Tell me about the story. Do you feel like they're doing a decent job with the Resistance universe?. Do you feel like they're answering some questions left unanswered?.

I'd like to know if you can play this game, never having played a Resistance game, and not be lost in the story.

I'll let you know about the story when I've played a bit more. To be honest it's really simple to follow. I don't think you need to have played any of the previous games to enjoy it.

What are the controls like? Specifically the analogue sticks, are they easy to use to aim? I only played the VITA once and the sticks felt a bit fiddly cause they were so small.
Trophy-licious!

Awesome preview Steven, sounds like another must-have PS Vita title. This is the sort of game that Sony needs to prove works well on the handheld, seeing as how it's a twin-stick shooter for a portable games console, and from the sound of it they've nailed it.
Bodes well for Call of Duty and Killzone.

Sony NEEDS to advertise the shit out of these games. There's no reason to sell them if they have nearly zero advertising. It will keep selling just to the niche hardcore market that cares about the Vita. The Playstation brand definitely needs a lot more spotlight than it has now, especially considering how much Microsoft and Apple do nowadays.

Why doesn't this have an online beta... Or at least a demo of some kind.

FPS games on a handheld...that work! Good times. I'm not too keen on the mandatory screen touching for certain functions but i'll adapt. I look forward to this, and to Bioshock (if it's an FPS game (I get the feeling it may take some other form somehow)).

Yeah, the whole swiping to use the machete in Uncharted was totally unnecessary imo. However, I LOVED having the option to swipe the screen for climbing ledges. You can swipe his course and just enjoy the animation and scenery, as holding the analog in a given direction and pressing X isn't exactly super exciting.
I guess it might be necessary in some cases. If Sony had figured out some way to give the Vita L/R 1 AND 2 triggers, it would have been the PERFECT handheld.
