Not a bad list. Not so sure about Crash Bandicoot or Spyro though. Like I said, their rights were sold off to other publishers a while ago. But I can't imagine a PlayStation-centric brawler without Toro, being the mascot for Sony in Japan.

I know, but considering they haven't made an appearance for awhile, it probably wouldn't cost Sony much to get them in there.

I still don't think Playstation has enough Nintendo quality mascots to warrant this style of game.

I get your point, but I don't think they have to have the timelessness that some of Nintendo's mascots have. Sony still has enough history, legacy, quality, and quantity in its PlayStation All-Star roster for this kind of thing.

The question on my mind is whether or not this kind of game will be executed well enough to have a staying power comparable to SSB. It's cool to have a game like this, but the depth and potential of the fighting mechanics are going to be what give it legs. This is assuming it's striving for something similar to SSB.

This. I think it's going to have a different feel than SSB simply because Sony develops its characters differently from Nintendo. The mechanics that bring it all together are what will make this game.

I have a feeling Sony are going to fuck up the gameplay. Modnation's cheap A.I keeps popping into my head after thinking Sony would go casual with it like Mario Kart.
